Anybody but Philly.  Ideally they'd land at #6, and OKC would miss out.

I was thinking about a Philly trade.

Paul George + #5 / #6 pick to Phoenix for Kevin Durant

Randle, who finished with 24 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds, became just the second player in Minnesota playoff history to record a triple-double, joining Kevin Garnett.
Quote
By following up his 24-point, 11-assist performance in Game 2 with a similar output on Saturday, Randle also became the first player in franchise history with multiple 20-point, 10-assist games in a single postseason, according to ESPN Research.

Where has this version of Julius Randle been all season?  If he continues to play like this, it makes MIN much tougher.  They need his scoring and playmaking.

Doesn?t really matter at this point. They aren?t winning 3 games in a row even with Mitchell. Series is over.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Pacers fans were chanting "We Want Boston' yesterday.

Oh man, and Boston is down 2-1. Idk if this will rile up the Knicks as a sign of disrespect hahaha

he finally figured out how to play in Minny, I hope he stays.  the first part of the year I thought he was definitely picking up his option, now i'm not too sure.  shoudn't he be angling for a multi year deal from Minny or another team? (although not too many teams can or will clear their space)

The way he is playing he has gotta be in max contract range.

I?d hate to see him in Brooklyn as well.  :-X

I looked on RealGM and found it confusing enough to want to check with you. What?s the simple explanation of the OKC-Philly pick.  Is it 1-6 and Philly keeps?  And next year 1-5 if not conveyed this year?

Looks like OKC gets 2 other first rounders this year 15 and 24.  Wow. A couple of decent shots to fill a hole or add depth even if they don?t get Philly?s.

My understanding is that its top 6 protected this draft then becomes top 4 protected in 2026 and 2027. Then its if still not conveyed, its becomes a 2027 2nd rounder.

The conspiracy theory I like most heading into the lottery is that Dallas wins it for sending Luka to the Lakers.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Reports come out saying Giannis is considering requesting a trade from Milwaukee.

If that?s the case, he?s got to be going to Houston, right?

My guess is the trade ends up being something like?

HOU gets: Giannis
MIL gets: Alperen Sengun, Reed Sheppard, Tari Eason, 9th overall pick, 2027 BKN Swap pick.

HOU will have a team built around Giannis and Thompson, so it makes sense they would want to keep guys like Smith Jr. and Green who can spread the floor.

Milwaukee gets an All Star in Sengun, two guys who are projected to be starting caliber players in Sheppard and Eason, and two (most likely) Top 10 picks.

I think Houston or San Antonio. A dark horse could be Detroit.

Those are some interesting destinations. If he wants to win and all about the weather and the bright lights, he'll want to force his way to Hollywood (probably Lakers as they already have Luka and also it's cuz the Lakers), the Heat, or maybe get more into the city life like New York (either Nets or Knicks) or a mid-market team like Chicago.

Actually I forgot. Giannis loves NY and the Brooklyn area, and BKN covets him too. They have a TON of cap space + picks as well to potentially try and build another superteam similar to Kyrie-Harden-Durant lol. They also could have a Top-5 draft pick after tonight. If they don't get #1 (Flagg), I would trade that in a package for Giannis.

Bucks don't have control over their picks until 2031. Unless they can convince NOP or POR to give them back some of their picks/swaps, I'm not sure what the benefit really would be to tanking.

The might be better off trying to get a young all-star and a couple of 1sts than tearing it all down for a bunch of potentially late 1sts from another team. I guess HOU does have PHX's picks, though, but they aren't for sure blowing it up
