At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Jokic needs 74 points and 7 assists over his final 2 games to average a 30ppg triple double 30ppg 10rpg 10apg season. He is pretty much a lock to get the assists and already has the rebounds done. Getting over the line to 30ppg looks difficult.

I'd love to see him go for it George Gervin vs David Thompson style. It would be an awesome record to claim.

Yeah that's terrible for us. If we have to play Indiana 2nd round while Cleveland plays NY...

NY beat CLE in the playoffs two years ago.

How have they done against CLE this year?

NYK definitely losing to the Cavs.

What will it take for Orlando to win against Indy tomorrow? Do they have any incentive to play?

The Knicks hang onto the 3 seed until tomorrow or the last day of regular season perhaps. Wild.

But if I'm a Knicks fan, my mindset is: I have doubts having to play Cleveland in the second round. I want to face Boston instead. They can't beat us 4 in a row again. They're an easier matchup than Cleveland.

The Knicks have been dominated by anyone with a pulse. There is no easier matchup for them.

True. They may just get manhandled by Giannis in the first round in the 4/5 matchup. Forgot that was the 5th seeded team. It's in their best interests to play for the 3 seed instead.

I don't think it matters.   The Pacers challenged the Celtics in the individual games, but not in the series.

I would so much rather play NY than Indiana or Milwaukee lol, that's for sure.

Knicks have zero chance against us in a series barring injuries or the mother of all ref-jobs. If I'm rhem I'd much rather take ny chances with Brunson attacking Garland and Mitchell than the C's guards and wings.

FTR the Knicks beat the Pacers 2/3 and own the tiebreaker against them. They would need to lose at home to Cleveland then at Brookyn, while Pacers need to win at home against Orlando then at Cleveland. Any and all teams should probably be resting players, I don't think anyone would be jockeying to play us.

I agree. Orlando => Indiana => Cleveland => Oklahoma City is the most difficult playoff path for the Celtics that I can think of.

I mean if we struggle beating a .500 Orlando team then we have bigger issues to worry about. But I expect the Celtics to drop one of the first two home games like how they do annually and give Orlando some false hopes (or motivation).
