Someone bought up a good point on Twitter, but even besides the Doncic trade how many good things has Nico Harrison done? They let Brunson go. Porzingis didn't pan out. I'll give him credit for Kyrie and that did work out, but there's been a lot of bad. Not sure how he still has a job with Dallas. They essentially swapped Doncic, Porzingis, and Brunson for Kyrie and 31-year old AD.

And I'm pretty sure he also messed up the Nike meeting with Steph Curry years ago

Kyrie Irving hurt his left knee while driving the ball. He was carried to the FT line to shoot FTs. He's taken out of the game now.

Nico Harrison is on life support now.

But kinda feel bad for Kyrie now. I'll give him his roses for attempting those two FTs and bring carried off the court with streams of tears coming out. Those last two shots may have been his last in Dallas though.

Oh jeez. That is a teribble injury. Kyrie is about to be 33. As a small guard who relies on his quickness and ability to change directions on his drives. Rough injury to come back well from.

Not only out for the season but this probably ends his career as an All-Star level player. Hard to see him being able to perform at the same level again given his age.

This may also mean Kyrie is out the first half of next year. Dallas is very cooked if they weren't already.

On another note, there were 11 teams for 10 spots in the West. With Kyrie going down, that will likely rule Dallas out meaning Phoenix have a major opening to get back into the play-in spots.

Dallas are currently 10th with 32 wins 30 losses
Phoenix are 11th with 28 wins 33 losses

Hmm ... about 4 games back with 20 games left.

You see your team reach the Finals, despite an iffy start they were literally the TWO SEED just two months ago at one point with most of the team healthy, and then all of a sudden they trade Doncic, suffer injuries to everyone else including AD, and now Kyrie is likely out until the start of the next calendar year. Absolutely brutal

Dallas look like they might be near a total rebuild.

Kyrie = 33yr old, coming off ACL injury
Klay = 35yr old, well past his best
A Davis = 32yr old in a week, injury prone

What is the ceiling of that team? One and done playoff squad? 2nd round if they are lucky? All while the wheels start falling off their offensive stars? With the team declining year on year?

It looks like Dallas will be spending many years in the lottery trying to rebuild their squad in the near future.

Instead of having Luka and a perennial contender whenever you give him a quality supporting cast. Such an awful decision to trade Luka.
