The Charlotte Hornets are converting two-way forward Moussa Diabate to a standard three-year NBA contract, sources told ESPN. The Hornets officially announced the signing Sunday but did not disclose terms.

Quote
If the 7-foot Williams had ended up on the Lakers, the 6-foot-9 Diabate would have been in line for an expanded frontcourt role with the Hornets. The former second-round draft selection has flashed upside throughout the season, recording 12 games with double-digit rebounds and four double-doubles.

Diabate, 23, is averaging 4.7 points and 7.1 rebounds in 42 games this season, his first with the Hornets.

Hate to say it but LAL has been firing on all cylinders.

OKC and Denver to me are the only ones who can beat them in a playoff series out West barring major injuries.
l

They just lost their own only center that is above 210 cause their trade was rescinded

Yeah that happened after my post, changes a lot.

Jokic, Sabonis, AD, etc. are gonna eat Jaxson Hayes and Kleber alive lol

Lakers are pretenders.  Their collection of bigs is terrible.  They don't have one quality center, and their PFs are underwhelming both in talent and size.

LAL fans are going to see first hand how bad Luka's defense is, and they have no bigs to help cover his weaknesses.  Even if the Mark Wiliams trade went through he isn't good enough.  AD was their key defensive piece.

Lakers make it the 2nd round at best.

The Lakers remind me of the Luka & Kyrie Mavs. Not last year's Mavs but the previous season when they didn't have enough defenders around them and missed the playoffs.

Then they added Lively, Gafford, PJ Washington, Derrick Jones Jr ... and suddenly they were a serious team.

That is what this Lakers team needs. A bunch of athletic defensive players around Luka & LeBron. They do not have enough of that.

This is embarrassing. 76ers have their Big 3 on the court. Bucks with no Giannis. And Philly still can't beat them. Down 10 heading into the fourth.

At what does Coach Nick Nurse come pressure?

They have poor athletic talent and are going nowhere with this roster.

They need to lose more. Their 2025 first is owned by OKC but is top-6 protected. They currently have the 7th-worst record. My guess is that, one way or another, they get lucky and keep the pick, which could be franchise-altering.

If I'm OKC I'm fully expecting that pick to get pushed back, much like the C's / Grizzlies #8 pick where we lost 7 different coin tosses that offseason and didn't land the Grizz pick until later when it was far less valuable.

Apparently Mark Cuban called Nico Harrison and kinda urged him to not go through with the Luka trade, but it was already agreed through a verbal handshake.

Dallas Mavericks star power forward/center Anthony Davis is expected to sit out multiple weeks because of a left adductor strain, sources told ESPN on Sunday night.

His absence could stretch to a month, sources said, because of an injury that cut short his spectacular debut with his new franchise.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid acknowledged Sunday that he might have to undergo another surgery on the left knee that has bothered him over the past year if it isn't feeling any better by the end of the season.

Better boost security personnel for Nico Harrison. That was one of, if not, the worst trade in NBA history

Mavs could miss the playoffs. They are 8th at 28-25.

Two teams outside the playoffs (outside top 10) are Golden State and San Antonio. I expect both of them to make it. So two teams currently in the top 10 to drop out. I expect Sacramento will be one of them. The 2nd one could come down to Dallas vs Phoenix.

San Antonio have some ground to make up to make the playoffs. They are not a sure thing. They could miss out. Golden State are a near lock though (unless injuries hit).

Hornets fans feel LaMelo was snubbed. AGAIN.

Apparently he finished with the 2nd most votes among guards in the East from the fans. Still got passed over as a starter. Then passed over as a reserve. Now passed over as an injury replacement.

Edit: Actually, it looks like he finished top for fan voting. Is that right? 2.5mil votes. D Mitchell got just under 2mil. Brunson 1.7mil. So LaMelo was miles ahead of both.

D Mitchell and Brunson killed LaMelo in both the player vote and the media vote. Only 3 votes for LaMelo to 75 and 82 for Brunson & D Mitchell. 68 player votes to 116 and 106 for D Mitchell & Brunson.
