Wow Mavs in a battle with the Sixers who have Embiid back as well. Both teams look well on pace to score 125+

Dallas are so much easier to root against now.

I love Luka. I could never root against him. But now? Now, now it is Kyrie's team and there a few guys I love to root against more than Kyrie Irving.

Fun Q4 to the Dallas vs Philly game. Both teams playing some nice basketball.

Kyrie looks good (34pts 9reb 4ast). Max Christie has improved so much throughout this season. He is a bonafide two-way player now after being undependable offensively earlier in the campaign. Naji Marshall had a big game. I love his game. I'd love to see him start at SF now that Luka is gone with PJ Washington coming off the bench as a 6th man. Daniel Gafford had a bad looking injury late on. Maybe dislocated shoulder. Klay Thompson a pair of huge 3s late on.

Embiid had a lovely post up and seal with Kyrie stuck on him, Philly rotate the ball to the corner, easy two for the lead in the final 30 seconds. Yabu with the entry pass. Embiid with a good game in his return (29pts 11ast 10reb). Maxey with another huge game (33pts 13ast). No PG13.

Heat lineup with Jimmy

G: Herro
G: D Robinson
F: Highsmith
F: Bam
C: K Ware

Not much offense in that lineup. Both Ware and Bam are below average scorers and shooters for their position. D Robinson is a one dimensional shooter. Highsmith a low volume 3+D player. A limited offensive player. The only dynamic offensive player in the lineup is Tyler Herro.

Terry Rozier comes off the bench as a 6th man. He gives them some firepower. He should probably start without Jimmy Butler there. They are playing a double big with Bam & Ware. They may be able to better hide the combined defensive weakness of Rozier / Herro now that they are using a double big lineup. Worth a go ... because that starting unit has almost no offense.

Going to be really hard seeing Luka in purple and gold. Wish he went to any other team.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Reed Sheppard with a rare good game for Houston. 16pts on 5-13 FGA off the bench. He was scrappy on defense with 7reb 2stl 2blk.

He lookd rock solid physically when matching up against bigger wings who were trying to back him down. Tough physical battler. A solid 6 foot 2. Hard to push around.

Sengun with a 20-20 game. 24pts 20reb. Dominated.

Rest of the Rockets team looked lousy in the parts of the game I saw. Almost cost them the game against a lowly Brooklyn Nets team without Cam Thomas or Cam Johnson.

The Bulls basically played 4 PGs next to Vucevic tonight.

G: A Dosunmu
G: C White
F: Lonzo Ball
F: J Giddey
C: Vucevic

Fun lineup. Lots of running. Lots of passing. Quick hitting basketball. They put up a lot of point against a good Miami defensive team.

Buzelis and Pat Williams gave some extra size at forward off the bench that they needed.

One of the beautiful things about Giddey is the ability to create lineups like this with lots of ball-handling and passing with his size & skill-set able to play at forward. Giddey's rebounding ability key as well. Lonzo as a big PG too able to play one through three comfortably.

They had another PG off the bench in Jevon Carter.

They also have Tre Jones (PG) coming in from San Antonio and Huerter (SG/SF). Lot of guard play for Chicago. Light at forward. Could be fun to watch though. A lot of mismatch basketball with uptempo high scoring pass first hoops. Could be fun.

Looks like the bubble may have burst on Houston....5-5 with 4 losses in a row.

Actually they did lose by two to the Nets.

Oh, I tuned off too soon. I thought they were ahead.

D'Angelo Russell dribbled the ball out of bounds with 15secs left. BKN down 3. Rockets ball. Inbounds. Sengun fouled. 2 FTs. I tuned off.

How did they blow that?

Embiids first game back and he logs 36mins. Surprised he played that much.
