The NBA has suspended Philadelphia 76ers? Joel Embiid for three games for altercation shoving a columnist in a postgame locker room.

Seems unnecessary

Agreed.

But also... like if Embiid was going to be sitting out games anyways to "load manage" or to "get ready" to start the year, how does this suspension even apply lol. He was probably going to miss the next three games anyways  :P

The Cavaliers are for real. Credit to them.

If we play them again in a playoff series we NEED Porzingis back. Their size and frontcourt is already really good and tends to give us trouble.

I dont think they're for real. Their backcourt and frontcourt pairings are still weird, and they're still going to have trouble generating scoring in the playoffs.

Idk, a team that's 8-0 and with some quality wins (Lakers, Knicks, Bucks twice). I would still definitely pick Boston to win a playoff series against them, but just looking around the East maybe we underrated the Cavaliers a bit. I definitely did. Figured it was NY, IND then PHI in that order as threats, maybe CLE is actually in that group ahead of a hobbled PHI.

I am very surprised by that big Cavs frontcourt.

F: E Mobley
F: Dean Wade
C: J Allen

Why aren't teams just packing the paint and forcing those 2 forwards to try and beat them from 3 point land?

There is so little shooting in that frontcourt.

Yep. Playoffs are a different animal. Small guards always get exposed. C?s can put Holiday, White or Brown on the Cavs two best players. Good luck to them.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

And Anthony Davis is in street clothes. Didn?t even make it 10 games.

Hate to give LBJ props, but the dude is turning 40 next month and he can still put up monster numbers. Finished with 39/7/6 tonight.

Mathurin 3-7 FGA 13-14 FTA.

Double the FTA of FGA. That guy is great at getting to the foul line for a guard. Has a free throw rate of 43% for his career. I am not sure what the average is for a SG. I think it is around 26-28%. That ability to get to the line, to beat guys off the dribble, and to hit outside shots. Such a dangerous scoring threat.

Just In: Philadelphia 76ers All-Star Tyrese Maxey is expected to miss a couple of weeks because of a right hamstring injury, sources told ESPN. Full evaluation coming later Thursday but sides are bracing for Maxey?s absence. Sixers will take careful approach with the injury.

So, if your team has star players that are injury prone, is it cotangent to other stars on the team?

He?s going to be a very good player. Have no idea why Mathurin was coming off the bench.

Imagine what happens when you rest your two stars the entire beginning of the season and put everything on one player who actually wants to play(Maxey). He gets injured. Welcome to one the worst run organizations in the NBA.
