Fun game, man.  Been a good series.  I thought this version of Kawhi was a memory.  Good to see him back and looking like a problem again.

It is a strange way to end the game. The refs make their ruling. The TVs cut off as quickly as possible. They show a quick speeded up replay. No questioning of the call. Just turn it off and move on as quickly as possible as soon as the ref make their decree.

Two super close wins to close out the OKC/MEM series. I was kind of rooting for the Clippers just so they wouldn?t be dead by the time they got to OKC.

Crazy ending though - shades of Derrick White. Winner of this series definitely losing to OkC, though

TNT deliberately avoided doing a freeze frame when the light first turned red. Which leads me to believe his fingertips were still on the ball.

So it's exactly what you'd expect from this league and its partners.

I think the fact that it was called good is pretty important.  When it's that close it's hard to overturn the call.

Warriors should be letting Moody shoot more with Butler out. He?s shooting 40% from 3pt in the postseason.

Yeah unfortunately the Cavs got a bye round essentially. Miami offering zero resistance.

And again, what a sad excuse of a "homecourt". Down 30 while having a half-empty arena most of the game anyways. Great Heat Culture!

If the Cavs drew Orlando, it probably wouldn?t be a sweep? I was really hoping the Cs got  Miami or Atlanta.

Warriors without Butler are the pre-deadline version... mediocre

Jalen Green is just very inconsistent. They need him to be a consistent 20+ PPG scorer and a lot of times he just disappears in these kinds of big games. He had 38 in Game 2, but only 7 in Game 1 and 9 tonight. Not good enough.

Also they are paying FVV 42M to be a role player.

They really need to add Durant this offseason, or if Giannis becomes available go all-out for him. They aren't far off but they just lack scoring. They've actually been holding GSW to lower scores but if you have trouble scoring 100+ consistently yourself that negates it a bit.

They have a team option on him for $44mil next season. Gotta think they opt out of that. He is more of a $20-25mil player moving forward.

He is showing some physical decline too in terms of quickness & driving past people. Not doing it as well this year as previous years. With his dodgy shot, that can make him quite limited offensively on off nights.

Anthony Slater: Jimmy Butler worked out on the practice court pregame, per source. Medical team held him out to give body two more days to heal, but there?s a belief he will be back for Game 4 on Monday night with the Warriors searching for 3-1 series lead over the Rockets. via Bluesky

No way FVV is on the team next year. He was never worth that contract anyway; they just needed someone. But it might be valuable salary filler in a trade, so they could pick up the option and send him off with a couple of draft picks.

I think we all knew Houston wasn't ready yet, but credit to them for getting the 2-seed. It'll be really interesting if it ends up being 6 vs 7 in the 2nd round, but that is how it is shaping up. Please let it shape up that way, because I do not want the Lakers with a chance at anything.

There were reports that Houston were in talks over a contract extension with FVV a month or two ago. It sounds like they want to keep him. They like what he does for them. So, I wouldn't be sure that he is gone. I expect they will restructure the contract and look to keep him long term.

FVV has his flaws but he is still hugely important to the success of that team. They were 41-19 in the 60 games he played (56 win pace) compared to only 11-11 without him (41 win pace).

Those young guys rely heavily on his leadership & ability to run their offense. He is the only guy on the team who can run an offense. They were dreadful to watch while he was out injured. It was Jalen Green pretending to be a PG. Disaster. And FVV is still a very good defensive player despite being a small guard. Great instincts, reads the game well, very strong small guard who can handle himself against bigger opponents, strong lateral quickness.
