I like the French team. Wemby is a lot of fun to watch. Gobert & Yabu are awesome big man help for him.

Those white jerseys with the blue strip on the side are beautiful.

Germany by far the most unlikeable team in this tournament. I hope team USA gets them and drags them.

Germany have been the best all-round team I have seen outside of the US. They have quality bigs, shooters, wings with size, creative ball-handlers. The best balance.

France are top heavy in bigs and light on the perimeter.

Canada are top heavy on the perimeter and light in the paint.

Serbia have a great player in Jokic, good players in Micic and Bogdanovic but are quite ordinary and unathletic otherwise. Avramovic has been impressive after a slow start.

Germany have the best balance. Size, speed, athleticism. Perimeter D, interior D, rebounding. Passing, dribble penetration (Schroder), interior scoring (Mo Wagner), outside shot making (Obst, Lo), wing creation (Franz).

What a terrible possession by France. Spent the whole possession with the ball above the three point line. Mostly 5+feet beyond the three point line. Never threatened. Heaved and missed at the buzzer. Awful guard play.

Is Schroder the best PG in this tournament outside of the USA & Canada?

I am struggling to think of anyone else. Schroder's speed is a killer next to all these slow Euros. None of them can match his creation skills off the dribble whether it is shot-creation or playmaking.

I'd like to see France give this trio an extended run

F: Yabu
F: Wemby
C: Gobert

They used it once in the warm-up games and they got them back into the game late on after being down big. Yabu is much more aggressive looking for his shot than France's other options at SF (Batum, Coulibaly, Fournier).

Yabu has been their 2nd best offensive player after Wemby in the warm-up games.

Wow, Schroder long 3 five feet beyond the line.

Germany up 45-25 over France. Late first half.

Fun game.

Too bad for Giannis and Greece.  Needed to beat Australia by 8 points to advance (or maybe even 7, not sure how tiebreakers work for wildcard spots), but they only won by 6.

I wanted Greece to play so they had to run him into the ground. Want Giannis gimpy and questionable this season

That was Rudy Fernandez' 6th Olympic games. That is incredible. 24 years of Olympic play for Spain.

That would make 20 years (2024-2020-2016-2012-2008-2004). Still incredible.
But not as amazing as Ireen Wust. Dutch former speed skater at the Winter Olympics.
Five consecutive Olympic Games with gold at each event!

They might still advance. Depends on Serbia beating South Sudan.

This was his swan song. Calling it quits this year.
