Stupid play by D Brooks. Tried to force a shot up. Took so long creating it that Wemby came over and erased it. Beautiful block.

Fournier with two huge plays. A three and a drive, bucket & FT for another 3pt possibility. France needed this. They have zero perimeter creation.


I am not sure what happened there. They called a foul. They counted the basket. But the foul was on Fournier. Why did they count the basket? Canada got 2 FTs.

Fournier was clutch down the stretch. 10pts in the final 5 minutes to seal the win for France. They had nothing else working for them offensively outside of Fournier.

Fournier has generally been bad for France. Struggled to create his own offense. Looked old. Lost some quickness off the dribble. Bad defensively as usual. Came up big today though.

Wemby was 2-4 2PTA and 0-6 from three. 3-6 FTs. He had 7pts but filled up the rest of the stat sheed with 11reb 5ast 3stl 1blk.

This is the second game I have seen from him in this tourney where Wemby had more three point attempts than two point attempts. The game was against Germany where Wemby was 2-4 2PTA and 3-7 3PTA.

For the tournament overall, Wemby is now 13-25 from two point range and 7-22 from three point range. He is 11-17 from the FT line. So almost a 50-50 split between threes and twos for Wemby.
