Tirico is going to be the "A" team announcer.  As far as I know, they haven't announced who will be analyst and my reading of things has been that the Olympics is an audition for Wade.  Eagle will most likely be the "B" team announcer.

Pretty sure NBC will hire some of TNT?s color analysts as well.

Wonder if they will steal Drew Carter from us, he?s been doing some announcing for other teams in summer league

Team USA plays so much better without Embiid bogging them down.

Booker is out there to score because he can?t defend. Curry the same.

How about Curry?  21 minutes with a 1-9 performance and shredded on D.  Booker shredded on D.  LBJ 6 turnovers and got shredded on D.  Kerr is doing a poor job of coaching.  Terrible rotations and giving minutes to players like Curry and Booker that are not good fits for international play.  At least Booker is scoring but he's garbage on D.  I love Antman but he's more consumed with getting his shots up then he is playing team basketball.  Tatum looks very discombobulated on offense.  They don't really look for him and he has zero space to drive.  He's playing very unselfish basketball but there is no way he can get into a rhythm on offense when Curry is chucking up logo 3's and bricking them.  I also noticed the team USA spacing at times is terrible.  This team will win just off of talent but there are too many guys who want to be the USA star versus playing the game the right way.  Take a note from Dwhite.  The guy just knows how to play.

This team needed DWhite and Holiday to hold the team together, make it look like a team sport at least.  Somebody has to be the blue collar guys on the team.

?The competitor in you wants to play, obviously,? Tatum said. ?But I?m not here to make a story or make it about myself. We won. I was glad to just get back out there and play again, because there was a lot of chatter over the last few days. But I was in good spirits. I had a good attitude about it. It was fine. As a competitor you want to play, but I?m not holding any grudges or anything.?

Tatum on Wednesday called his benching ?a humbling experience,? particularly in the afterglow of the Celtics championship that was followed by him signing the richest contract in NBA history and appearing on the cover of the popular NBA2K25 video game.

?There?s a lot you can take from it,? he said. ?You can be frustrated that you want to play as a competitor, but maybe have some empathy for some guys on my [Celtics] team that don?t always get to play, or play spot minutes. So, learning experience to see it from that point of view, and just move on from it.?

?You never know when you?re going to be out there,? he said. ?But the most important thing is that you win. That?s all that matters.?

I wonder how Tatum feels playing for Team USA in comparison to Celtics. With Celtics, through years, hard work and sacrifice, they built a team that won a championship. Now he has all these other players with high egos, politics involving playing time (need to play certain players to make them happy) and lack of cohesion. Hopefully it makes him appreciate what they?ve built with the C?s even more.

He looks lost . He is used to sharing his role with only JB .  White and Jrue it?s pretty much same job . Wear the hard hats and keep the floor looking clean.  Plenty of work for non queens.
