Toronto have waived Sasha Vezenkov. He gave up $6.6mil to go back to Europe. Their roster looks settled now.

Starters

G: Quickley
G: RJ Barrett
F: Gradey Dick
F: Scottie Barnes
C: J Poeltl

Bench

G: Davion Mitchell
G: Ja'Kobe Walter
F: Bruce Brown
F: C Boucher
C: K Olynyk

Two high level bench players in Bruce Brown and Kelly Olynyk. The other three all look below average bench dudes.

Third Stringers

G: Jamal Shead
G: Ochal Agbaji
F: G Temple
F: U Chomche
C: J Mogbo

One old man vet in G Temple. Maybe too old to be useful anymore. 3 young ones. Agbaji has some experience but has yet to be a reliable bench player. Lot of question marks. Some upside long term but nothing dependable short term.

Indiana gave Nembhard a 3yr $59mil extension. Decent value. I still think of him as a poor man's D White. If Nembhard can develop that 3 point shot and beef up a bit defensively, he could yet become a top notch role player. Worthwhile risk.

They also re-signed James Johnson. He is 37 years old now. I can't even remember him playing last year. They have Siakam, Jarace Walker and Obi Toppin at his position. So he won't play next year either. Another one of these old vet locker room roles.

Nets sign Killian Hayes.

Not sure if it is a training camp contract or a full guaranteed one year deal.

Anyone else disappointed by the lack of movement this off-season? Thought for sure we would have seen a Cavs trade by now. What's going on with Markkanen? Ingram??

There's a small part of me that thinks it's because of the new luxury tax restrictions (2nd apron) as well as a few teams just realizing Boston and OKC among others are just too good right now.

Outside of maybe 3-4 teams (PHI, NY, SAS, OKC), there weren't that many aggressive teams this FA.

Markkanen is a classic Ainge bluff. I never thought he was really on the move.

Not too late for an Ingram trade though.

Russell Westbrook has agreed to sign with the Denver Nuggets on a two-year, $6.8 million contract. Westbrook will hold a player option for the 25-26 season.

Westbrook became a free agent after he was bought out by the Utah Jazz following his trade from the LA Clippers.

He'll become the new "rainbow" guy like Shaq because of all the teams and jersey colors he's been on (if you also include the Jazz lol)

John Gambadoro: I hear there is a real chance at landing Tyus Jones & that would be a HUGE win for the Suns. Could happen very quickly if Jones would be willing to take less money than what he could get with a couple of other teams. Suns culture, playing time and chance to win may convince him. ? via Twitter

First, lol @ "Suns culture".

Second, there's no way he's taking the minimum, is there?

Will the wizards win 15 games this season?

Bottom of the east is putrid. Washington, Toronto, Nets, bulls, pistons, hornets are all bad.

Guess we can pencil in Miami vs Atlanta
For the play in game

Free agent Tyus Jones, the market's top remaining guard, has agreed on a one-year, $3.3 million deal with the Phoenix Suns, his agent, Kevin Bradbury of Lift Sports Management, told ESPN on Saturday.

It appears he is taking the minimum. WOW. Great pickup for PHX.

Suns just made a push for a higher seed in the West with the addition of Tyus Jones. Pretty good pickup considering how tied their hands are this offseason.

Is Tyus Jones any better than Monte Morris?

They seem similar to me. Low mistake PGs. Low creativity both in scoring & playmaking. More setup guards. Below average but adequate defenders. Low volume outside shooters.
