None of whom can make a perimeter jump-shot consistently.

I want to object to the Lakers being that high, but I don't think I can.  4 legit contenders and then a bunch of teams that if everything goes well would have an outside shot at making the finals.

Really not much different in the East, though Boston has separated some from the other contenders.

I had the same thought on the lakers myself but then struggled with who I would put ahead of them. I would probably flip Phoenix and lakers because Booker is far and away the younger and most durable of the stars and lebron will be turning 40. Aside from that though tough to see another breaking into that top 4 group without a big move.

I would pick New Orleans as my number 5 team.  It?s in large part a bet on Zion being healthy, which is questionable, but +2200 seems undervalued relative to a bunch of the teams around them.

The Grizzles if healthy should be no lower than 4th.

The Memphis Grizzlies have traded forward Ziaire Williams, a 2021 top-10 draft pick, to the Brooklyn Nets, the teams announced Friday.

Williams goes to the Nets with a 2030 second-round pick via the Dallas Mavericks for Mamadi Diakite and the draft rights to Serbian Nemanja Dangubic, the 54th pick in the 2014 draft.

The deal moves out the $6.1 million guaranteed on Williams' contract for 2024-25 and creates some more salary cap flexibility as the Grizzlies work toward re-signing guard Luke Kennard.

I remember how excited Grizzlies fans were about him towards the end of his rookie year. Never progressed. No development. Stud athlete. Defensive talent. But was never able to develop a competent offensive game.

Looking at the Nuggets depth chart

G: J Murray, R Westbrook
G: C Braun, P Watson
F: M Porter Jr, J Strawther
F: A Gordon, V Cancar
C: N Jokic, D Saric

Others: D Jordan, Z Nnaji, D Holmes (injured). All centers.

I'd like to see them bring Cancar back into the rotation. Get another shooter or somewhat of a shooter involved in the game. Strawther struggled with his shot as a rookie but he is a legit shooter. Saric is a shooter. So three frontcourt players who can shoot.

The SG spot is weak point. Two defensive role players neither of whom who can reliably make a three point shot. Neither can Westbrook as the backup PG. So only Jamal Murray is a good jump-shooter in their entire backcourt. Not good.

I kinda like the idea of Westbrook as a creator when Murray is resting. They needed another dribble-drive threat. I also like him playing off of Jokic. It is the lack of shooters alongside him that I worry more about.

C Braun is going to be the big wild-card for them next season. Whether he can develop his 3 ball enough to be a quality starter for them or not. If he can, they are in busines. If he cannot, then Denver does not look like a real contender.

Nuggets should have kept KCP and if they really needed salary relief should have traded MPJ in a 1 for 3 type trade.  Heck they still may be better off doing that.  They need depth and better balance and shooting.

KCP is going to be a very underrated loss for Denver. He sort of functioned as their "Derrick White/Jrue Holiday", quietly going about his business and not being flashy but producing for the team and contributing to wins including the postseason. Winning player.

I like Saric but I also just think Denver's frontcourt is a bit weak and not as deep. We just saw Minnesota bully Jokic and the Nuggets, and now Hartenstein is with the Thunder too alongside Chet. Lakers still have AD/Lebron and Wemby is also coming
