Oshae just declined his option. He?ll now be an unrestricted free agent. Can?t blame him but I hope he still ends up with the Cs.

I think the C's move on and go with Walsh in that role.  He'll need to improve his shot, but defensively he should be able to fit right in.  These3 were his measurables at the combine last year:  "6′ 5.75? barefoot, 8′ 11.00? standing reach, 204.0 lbs., 7′ 1.75? wingspan, and a 36-inch maximum vertical."

Agree. I think Wlash needs to take the steps this summer to play more when needed. I think the Cs might use Brissett's spot for another need.

Will be interesting if Kornet walks. They would then def. need one but probably 2 bigs to spell Al and KP

Why can't Queta fill that role?

I think they need someone that can stretch the floor as a big.

He may have a deal in place with someone. I didn't think he'd opt out.  I seriously doubt he'll be back.

I think some team will give Oshae around 4M a year, maybe even for 2-3 years.

If not, he could easily come back on a vet. minimum. But I do think some team with a ton of cap space could decide to get him for cheap as a "hustle bench guy".

He was the 10th guy on this pretty loaded roster but on a handful of others teams he could be a 7th or 8th man

Luke hasn't stretched the floor in last 2 seasons.  You're talking about replacing him, no?

With KP coming off surgery I think that changes the calculus. Queta would need to improve drastically to be a rotation guy they might need to depend on for important stretches.

KP likely injury situation would prompt me to get a big that can space the floor to add to bench.

Walsh improves he can take over the wing position and then you add a stretch 5 along with Queta.

I'm definitely not sad Brissett is likely gone.  I want to see Jordan Walsh in that energy role.  He can't be any worse of a shooter then OB.  We know he's known for Hustle, Energy and Defense.  He's a perfect fill in for that role.

Now for OB's roster spot.  I'm sure there will be a ring chasing vet that is as good or better then OB.

The same with Kornet.  I'd like to see Queta in that role.  Hopefully he's developed enough to take those minutes.  He's the more talented between him and Kornet but needs to improve his positioning on D.

I don't see Brissett and J Walsh as having the same role on the team. Brissett is a forward who has the bulk to matchup at SF/PF. J Walsh is skinny and best used as a SG/SF. He doesn't have the muscle to matchup with big forwards / big men. Brissett does.

I see them as complementary rather than as competition. Both are hustle guys but they fill different niches. J Walsh as a wing SG/SF. Brissett as a bulky undersized PF/SF.

Brissett = Bulky?   What?  He is listed at 6'7" 210 lbs, and he seems slender to me.

Do you mean Tillman?  He is 6'7" 245.

There is no way Brissett is 210lbs. He is closer to 230lbs.

Heat fans (all 10 of them) have such an inflated view of themselves and their team.
The Heat aren't even that good...but they are so desperate to be in the conversation that they continually insert themselves into everything.

Walsh is much younger and hasn?t bulked up yet. I see him as taking the Brissett role if he can earn minutes. His upside should be higher than Brissett on the offensive side too.

Honestly, I don't see Walsh becoming an NBA player....I said the same thing about Avery Bradley, but he was better than Walsh.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Walsh will get his chance but the Celtics will also find a vet to sign. Walsh will still need to win minutes.  Brissett played 630 minutes last season, Walsh only 84 min.  Not sure Walsh can make that big of a leap.
