I gave Kristaps Porzingis a call this morning and traded him my right calf.

I have right leg cramps now.
a TP for your wonderful sacrifice. But doesnt KP now have one leg that is a lot shorter than the other?

My girlfriend has a wooden leg and that wouldn?t hold her out of a finals game ?.right?

Yep, wearing flip flops with no tape or anything on his legs.

Did someone confirm calf? Kinda looked like he rolled his ankle..

Has any franchise been the victim of worse misfortune than the Boston Celtics, post the 1986 Title ?

Well, it depends on how you define it of course.

In terms of squandered potential, probably not (most teams don't have talented draft picks die), but in terms of success, you have  the Clippers, Grizzlies, Hornets, Jazz, Magic, Nets, Pacers, Pelicans, Suns and Timberwolves who are still waiting to win it all. The 76ers spent years in the gutter after blowing up a second-round team to get back to the second round. The Knicks have mostly been rubbish since their win in the 70s, and so on.

Not talking about underachieving, performance-wise.
I'm referring to bad luck befallen a franchise that is out of their control ............. like Bird ruining his back because he insisted on doing work on mom's driveway rather than hiring a crew for the job, Len Bias, Reggie Lewis, zero league compensation because Stern hated Red, Garnett's knee injury when the team was on the cusp of multiple titles, Perk's game 6 knee injury with the Celts one game (then one quarter) from a title, taking great care keeping Porzingis healthy all year during the regular season only to have him injured in the playoffs.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Signing Hayward only to have him break his leg in his first game, having horrible lottery luck in 1997 and 2007 (later sort of cancelled out by Jaylen and Jayson but still).

It would be interesting to see what the equivalents would be for other teams
I'm bitter.

Welp. I have no idea what any of this new KP injury means but it?s going to be interesting to see if Kornet can give them anything off the bench.

The term 'torn' as it applies to a leg injury is never good.  I'm sure the medically minded among us will have a better idea but I think it's safe to say that even if he can get on the court, he won't be moving too well.

So Al gets more minutes. Not worried about that

Worried about how Joe handles the bench. Obviously Tatum can play some 5 allowing the Celtics to maybe play Brissett.

Kornet in the game means Dallas can just sit lively and gafford
In the paint which is no bueno. Kornet might be ok on defense if he rebounds

The whole thing is really weird. Check out this video of him walking at practice - it's like nobody told him anything is wrong
