I dunno, if we are so tired from last night then hold guys out.  If you aren’t ready to play don’t play.  i know our guys are tired but cmon NBA athletes are the best conditioned athletes in the world.  It is kind of letting our guys off the hook by just saying they are tired from last night.

I just turned the game on, can someone tell me what the hell happened?

The bucks are the 2 seed and this game means a lot to them and are playing great and the Celtics are playing like literal garbage

I don't understand the league.

Why would.you put a marquee matchup and schedule boston ok a b2b. You think you would want a good product

Waaaaah. Boooo hooooo. I get what you’re saying but there’s no excuse. As an every day worker making a fraction of the money these players get I’ll work a 13 hour shift and get up and have to be to work at 6am again…waah.
Bucks are simply a legitimate threat and will continue to be so after they blow us out tonight

Are you an elite athlete playing against other elite athletes? Do you have to fly 1,000 miles to work?

Look, I get it but the absolute built in excuses for nba players on back to backs disgusts me. Based on this logic we should’ve blown out the wolves last night who were on a back to back

Agreed, an occasional back-to-back should not be a major problem for world-class athletes making insane, ridiculous money. But there are aggravating circumstances at play here. The Celts are playing their 7th (?) back-to-back of a season not even halfway thru the schedule. The opponents of late have been good teams that require a lot of effort to compete with. This disaster is the result of a lot of wear and tear that has sapped energy and taken the Celtics legs away far more than just one pair of games.. Add in an idiot for a coach who doesn't know how to manage games and insists on playing his starters into the ground and you get this embarrassment !!!! I do not want to see a starter in the game in the 2nd half here. Even if the Celts made some sort of run, they don't have the legs to erase a 40-point deficit. Think, Joe, Think.

Agreed, esp the idiot coach part.

I'm glad the Celtics have to play back2back games in the playoffs. /sarcasm

They just look gassed tonight.

Obviously, Joe prioritized the home win and setting the record for best Celtics home record to start a season last night.

Really, though, the Celtics should be on a three game losing streak. They had no business winning that game last night.

  • GOT IT!!!
This is why the NBA regular season overall sucks. Best win of the season last night and you don’t even get to enjoy it for 24 hours.

What I won't let off the hook is horrible coaching and clanking 3's, not adjusting their offense. I've already foreseen the tired legs and all.

Should the Cs lose this game (which is almost a sure thing), I want them to lose big, to give them an extra motivation when they face the Bucks again.

It's just one of the game when everything works against them. Move on.

Yeah we were due for a losing streak.

Oh, and it's January...aren't the Celtics supposed to start slumping at this point? Last year they started slumping around this time. The year before they shifted the energy after a bad start.

Swings happen.
