Just take out the regulars, Joe. We clearly are tired and don't have it tonight, and you kind of screwed the pooch already by letting them get this hot and doing nothing to help your tired players out.

I don't understand the league.

Why would.you put a marquee matchup and schedule boston ok a b2b. You think you would want a good product

Waaaaah. Boooo hooooo. I get what you’re saying but there’s no excuse. As an every day worker making a fraction of the money these players get I’ll work a 13 hour shift and get up and have to be to work at 6am again…waah.
Bucks are simply a legitimate threat and will continue to be so after they blow us out tonight

Sure thing sport

Are the bucks not a legitimate threat bud?

When did I say they weren’t? But having two full days off before this game to practice and Boston playing last night absolutely is a factor

Sure. So last nights win means nothing. Wolves were on a back to back

Celtics did not have two full days off before they played them to rest and practice. Celtics have been on the road a ton lately and yes that can factor in.

Wolves literally beat the magic in Orlando less than 24 hours before they had to suit and play the Celtics in Boston and took us overtime. I guess that win which I thought was the best of the year meant nothing.
Look. I get the excuses. Celtics are great, bucks stink. They have 0 chance, games totally unfair. Yay!

I mean I’m not going to clog up the thread arguing with you about this. No one said the bucks stink. One of those games tonight. Flush it and move on

No need for a starter to play a minute in second half of this game

Tatum has the right idea. Just start knocking the crap out of the Bucks. This game stinks!

We're clearly fatigued and not hitting shots.

Milwaukee is well-rested and coming off a really bad stretch, and they were very motivated to beat us.

Joe didn't help matters at all by sitting on his hands and not calling a timeout or seemingly making any adjustments on a 20-0 Bucks run. That run essentially got them going and haven't been able to do anything since.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I get that tonight was always going to be difficult, but it was hard to predict this stinker. When JB, KP, and Jrue were clanking everything in the 1st, while the team was totally giving up on the defensive side, it became evident we were going to mail it in.

Still a disappointing effort regardless

Well they showed up to the arena at least lol I was hoping we’d avoid one of these games but I guess nobody is immune. NBA are stupid to put contenders on national tv when one of them is coming off a b2b.

Are you an elite athlete playing against other elite athletes? Do you have to fly 1,000 miles to work?

Look, I get it but the absolute built in excuses for nba players on back to backs disgusts me. Based on this logic we should’ve blown out the wolves last night who were on a back to back

Agreed, an occasional back-to-back should not be a major problem for world-class athletes making insane, ridiculous money. But there are aggravating circumstances at play here. The Celts are playing their 7th (?) back-to-back of a season not even halfway thru the schedule. The opponents of late have been good teams that require a lot of effort to compete with. This disaster is the result of a lot of wear and tear that has sapped energy and taken the Celtics legs away far more than just one pair of games.. Add in an idiot for a coach who doesn't know how to manage games and insists on playing his starters into the ground and you get this embarrassment !!!! I do not want to see a starter in the game in the 2nd half here. Even if the Celts made some sort of run, they don't have the legs to erase a 40-point deficit. Think, Joe, Think.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

The Celtics look beat. The refs are terrible again. Just a crappy product for the NBA tonight.
