I want someone to break Curry's jaw every time he does one of his cocky taunts.  Put him to sleep when he does that sleeping motion.  So theatrical and disrespectful.

Back in the day there would be consequences for such disrespect. Now the guys are more interested in setting up some summer pickup games in LA with their rivals than they are setting a physical tone and making sure everyone knows they mean business.

17 point lead lost to a warriors team that is absolutely not good. Congratulations Joe. You did it again

Joe didn't coach a particularly good game, but this loss is on the players.  We missed countless open 3's and layups all night.  Golden State's defense is a joke.  We simply couldn't capitalize.  Deserved to lose.  Kept doing what wasn't working.  Took 58 threes for the game and shot just 29% for the night.  Madness to keep doing the same thing and expect a different result.

Warriors
Charlotte
Magic

All blown leads to lose. Three in OT.
Nothing changes with this team

Team is lucky to have the record they have and I’ve felt that way all season.

They’d be around .500 if they were in the west and there’s most likely 0 chance they stay in 1 seed this season, just like last year I see Milwaukee comfortably taking over the 1 seed

been saying it for years: the C’s never win a chip with the Jays. they’re mentally soft, have no killer instinct, and possess the lowest bbiq i’ve ever witnessed by so called stars. we’re six years in and absolutely nothing has changed.
Oh come on. They lost a game when a team got white hot.  Stuff happens. Do you realize that a 60 win season is generally championship level? That’s 22 losses to criticize. They lost because they couldn’t hit very good open shots. It happens. Stop searching for a reason for every loss.

no, they lost to a far inferior team because they lack the discipline to play winning basketball. six years into the jay’s tenure, third coach, another roster overhaul, and the same results. mentally soft, zero killer instinct, and brutally low bbiq.

keep making excuses for their failures and enjoy your moral victories because these chumps aren’t winning a banner.

This loss in on Mazulla. He should've called the timout and created a better play than letting Tatum dribbling taking the stepback 3.

I really suspect that Joe just doesn't have the gut  to call it. He is just a coward.

Or maybe work on some under 20-seconds last possession options in practice - you know, something other than panic and throw the ball to Tatum.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Celtics were 20-5 last season then lost to the warriors and never were the same. My guess is we see the same thing happen.

The inability to close out close games is a real issue. It’s happened in 4 of the 6 losses now.

It’s on the mentally weak players bro

They shriveled up and choked away a game they had no business losing. Not Joe.

Never seen two star players wilt in the biggest moments like brown and Tatum

we had the ball tied with 12 seconds left in regulation.
you have Tatum, Brown, find a way to get them in movement going to the rim.
Make GS FOUL US.  Why do we always let the other team off the hook with our final shots?

Because we don't have a final play.  Our guys aren't good improvisers, the coach needs to take control of the game and get a play set that gets us a chance to get fouled.  We hit 1 FT we win the game.   I don't know how everyone isn't calling for Joe's head right now?

I know, our players let the comeback happen.  BUT 1 point in that situation wins us the game.  Nothing from our coach, just watches it happen over and over again.  We are never going to win a ring with Joe.  The competition is just too great to win the finals, there are going to be game after game like this to get there.  When we have a coach that refuses to call a timeout at a those critical moments we are screwed.

TP.

And I mean, that's the thing - it's the exact same thing that happens over and over and over again, and still nothing changes with him. He's made a lot of progress - or at least Lee and Cassell have allowed him to be more successful - in other areas, but he's dog doo doo down the stretch.

That play was going nowhere from the get-go, and I really thought he was going to call the timeout with 5-6 seconds left and JT still standing way out on the perimeter not doing anything yet. But nope. Way too much credit for him. Just does not have the cajones to make the tough, timely decisions down the stretch. Super frustrating and like it did last year will come back to bite us in the playoffs.

What you're not grasping is that these opponents get "white hot" because the Celtics panic and give them energy.

Miami on particular is a team that feeds on the weakness if their opponents. It's a thing, and it's something we've seen far too frequently for such a talented squad.

It reminds me of something someone said about Michael Jordan's impact on the league. Everyone got so used to seeing MJ isolate and go one-on-one late in games that every team thought they should do the same with their best scorers / one-on-one player. So now you have the Rudy Gays of the world (back when he was 20ppg in Memphis) getting all these late game isos to win the game instead of running an actual play.

These guys aren't MJ. They do not score frequently enough in these situations to treat them as MJ. Run a play. Stop treating Rudy Gay as if he is MJ.

Feels like you could say the exact same thing about Tatum & Jaylen. We have such a talented team. Run a play. We'll get a better shot than their step back contested 3s against thes hot clock.

Again, wrong. Explain how the team who has played the most difficult schedule thus far would somehow have a worst record in the West?

They got 4 offensive rebounds in a row with a minute to go. That’s effort and typically leads to good results. Shots didn’t fall. Good teams lose. Do you ever watch other teams? Relax and stop being so dramatic. This loss is frustrating as heck but to completely give up hope after a single loss is a joke.
