Let?s go Brad!

Sabonis, here we come!

Oh my god I would be ecstatic

I have always thought he would make a great Celtic. Unfortunately, if he were to be made available, Sacramento could definitely get a much better offer than Simons, Hauser, and Niang.

This is true.  He would fit really well with JT/JB/Dwhite...

How about someone like Vucevic from Chicago?

Vucevic will be 36 by the time Tatum comes back. No thank you.

I wouldn?t mind that as it makes us compete in the wide open East. It also depends on the length of his current contract. We need flexibility when JT comes back.

Apparently we got some TPEs from the recent trades - 22M from KP and 4.7M from Jrue.

Ya, but they aren't usable. TPE use hard caps you at the FIRST apron, which the C"s are currently over. The TPE's remain active for a year, but they will only be used if the C"s shed more money somehow.

Them phone lines are ringing in Boston

The Celtics are getting offers, calls on both Jaylen Brown and Derrick White. Their preference has been to keep both players. They are listening, but will a team get there?

The San Antonio Spurs have shown interest in Kristaps Porziņģis, per
@JakeLFischer

?The Spurs, sources say, have held some exploratory talks about trading for the 7-foot-2 center. That would certainly be a fascinating outcome for Porziņģis if he were to land with the on-the-rise Spurs alongside the 7-foot-5 Victor Wembanyama.?

Who do we want from San Antonio? So many teams are rumored to be interested in KP (Pelicans, Lakers to name a few of those rumors) and it feels like Brad is gonna come up with another masterclass, that is if he doesn?t decide to unload KP.

I'd take Vassel and the 14th

But man they would have no bigs or big wings

Too late now ... but I don't think D Vassell would have a place on the Celtics after they got A Simons in the Jrue trade.

There aren't enough minutes to go around in that backcourt with D White, A Simons, Pritchard and D Vassell. You can only have 3 of those 4 guys. None of them can play forward. Devin Vassell at SF was a disaster for San Antonio. D White would be the best equipped to do it. Not ideal.

I like D Vassell instead of A Simons as the Jrue replacement. Bigger, more sold defensively. Not as dangerous offensively but that is okay since either guy would only be the 3rd/4th option. Better to have the defense than the offense.

The KP one won?t be processed until next league year, meaning it is possible that it could be available at the beginning of free agency in 2026.  If we are done with moves (unlikely but not impossible), we would have enough space under the first apron to use both the full TPE as well as the MLE next summer.

Sure, they might be usable next summer. It depends on what happens with Simons. If Simons is re-signed or flipped into another player making around what he does now than its very unlikely the C's will have the space to use the TPE. But if it looks like he's going to walk it's a nice back up plan to have.

My point was more meant to say they aren't usable now. In the future...you never know.

But that's really the whole thing with these two moves, the Celtics are A) A lot cheaper next year and B) have a lot of possible pathways for adding money next summer. The price is being worse next year, but that matters less with tatum injured.

Draft day. I think the Cs stay put and pick a big.

Counting the days until Niang is offloaded.

Hopefully it's only counting the hours until his is offloaded.  Can't stand Niang and don't want to ever see him in a C's uniform.

If the trade isn?t official until early July, can they trade him today? I?m asking because I have no idea

I think Niang could be useful. We have no depth at big forward with Tatum out.

I would play Hauser / Jaylen at forward and go small as 1st choice but if the team has too much size / muscle then Niang is a good alternative to Hauser. Keep providing that three point threat while giving us a bigger body to bang on defense.

Please no. Please please no. I'd rather play ineffective young players at the 4 than. watch Niang. I'd rather watch Craig than Niang. I'd rather watch a 2 big lineup of Queta and Kornet than Niang.

My guess is that Brad is going to dump one of Niang or Hauser for salary reasons.  Niang's $8.2 million could be the difference between bringing Horford back or not.
