The Miami Heat are expected to have interest in Donovan Mitchell.

Brian Windhorst

Who do they give up though? Herro?

Cavs would have to be one of the least interested teams in hero I. The league with struss and garland already on their roster. Plus the value isn’t even in the ballpark. 76ers would only do this if Embid wanted them to and Mitchell agreed to sign, but maxey for Mitchell would be interesting with some pieces on each end.
If I'm the Sixers, there's no way I'd trade Maxey for Mitchell.  The Sixers fans would probably tar and feather Morey if he did.  Maxey is 4 years younger and he's still developing.  Maxey is a near perfect fit with Embiid and he appears to be quite comfortable playing 2nd fiddle to Embiid.  Maxey's contract will jump to ~35M next season but the following season Mitchell's will jump to over 50M.

Yeah like I said sixers would only do this if Embid asked them to cause he thought Mitchell is more in his prime.

I did not think this would work. May have to add a post to the bad takes thread.

Maxey is already better than Mitchell in my opinion so he would deserve to get tar and feathered. This is the first year I think the Sixers are a legitimate threat, they’d be crazy to do that.

Mitchell Robinson is out for the season.  The Knicks will apply for a $7.8 million DPE.

I hate that they got Theis.  If Brad didn't give his agent the hard sell, he should have.

Wow, that is a huge loss for them. Bummer.

I Hartenstein is a solid replacement at starter but they have nobody to replace Hartenstein on the bench. They signed Taj Gibson to a 10 day awhile back. I expect Taj will be their new backup center. All 38 years of age of him. That is where the bigger drop-off will be.

It is amazing the number of games Miami wins when they are short handed. They had no Jimmy Butler last night against a strong Orlando team. Herro led them with 28 and they have 6 more players in double digits. 7 overall. Bam had 18. The other 5 had between 10-15pts. Jacquez, T Bryant, Highsmith, Josh Richardson, Duncan Robinson.

Caleb Martin and Kyle Lowry had only 5 points and 3 points respectively in a game without Jimmy Butler. And they still won!

They do this time and time again. It is amazing.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have received trade interest on Jarrett Allen from multiple playoff contenders including the New Orleans Pelicans, sources tell Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports.

Allen is in Year 2 of a five-year, $100 million contract.

The Cavaliers remain committed to their core of Allen, Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley and Darius Garland, sources add.

Beyond the murky future of Mitchell with the Cavaliers, there are also doubts on whether Mobley and Allen can co-exist in the frontcourt long-term.

I do not understand New Orleans. They have a good thing with Jonas Valanciunas as a floor spacing big who enables Zion to be more of a paint presence as either a driver or a post up option.

Now they want to get rid of the floor spacing big for a paint clogging big who will get in Zion's way and make his life more difficult. Not for the first time either. They did the same in the past with Steven Adams and with that high lotto pick Jaxson Hayes that they wasted.

Why do they keep trying to pair Zion with a big man who makes his life more difficult?

I can't help but feel Toronto should be better especially since Scottie Barnes is having a breakout year.

20.6ppg 9.2rpg 5.7apg 1.3bpg 1.5spg
49% FG% 38% 3PT% 58.6% TS%

Yet, the team is only 11 wins and 16 losses. It is not like he has no talent alongside him. He has Siakam and Anunoby. He has good role player talent in Trent Jr, Poeltl, Schoder who has played well for them. There should be enough pieces there to be more competitive. To be up around .500. If not higher given S Barnes' breakout year.
