Sengun averaging 19ppg 8rpg 6apg 62% FG%

This one still hurts.  This was the pick from the Kemba/Al trade.  The cs were rumored to liking Sengun.

The story with Embiid basically is the same. MVP-level talent in the regular season, but then the guy just runs out of gas as the playoffs progress. Because they rely on him a ton and all that flopping and falling to the ground certainly takes a toll  :P

Embiid’s never been in elite shape, that’s the issue.

It’s funny that Shaq was continually criticized for being out of shape during his career, yet Embiid seems to (usually) get a pass. Perhaps it’s because of the 76ers being in a constant state of flux or because of his early injury history, but the media rarely critiques Embiid on his fitness.

A scary thought is that Embiid has never been in elite shape lol

Him and Luka both. Neither of them have ever been in elite shape and they always run out of gas in the playoffs

To be fair clearly our guys run out of gas every season in the playoffs

Something not being talked about much with Milwaukee, is Middleton their 3rd guy? If not, do they even have one? I know all the talk is about Giannis and Lillard but after that I'm not really sure if they have another star since Middleton is now hurt often and clearly hampered by the knee issues. He doesn't even play heavy minutes much anymore.

I also say this because when either Giannis or Lillard are out, the other guy playing puts up monster stats but they still lose. Like Giannis putting up 54 the other night in a loss, and then 35/10/7 today in a double digit loss to Orlando. Lillard put up 34 in the game Giannis had that BS ejection to win, but otherwise Lillard is averaging about 24 PPG which is not his norm.

OMG that’s awful. Hope Oubre is okay and can return. He will miss significant time though according to Woj

Middleton being shot is why they made the Lillard trade. They needed a 2nd scorer which is no longer Middleton.

We gotta give Middleton some time. He is recovering from yet another injury. 2-3 months down the line. See where he is then.

That said, if this is all they are going to get out of him ... Milwaukee are in trouble. They were already desperately short of depth. They can't afford for Middleton to drop off from a near All-Star to part time starter.

Is Middleton their only good wing player? Next best is probably Connaughton. Malik Beasley is horrible. Jae Crowder is slow and more of a PF these days. And Middleton isn't that good right now. He is quite average. That would leave them with no plus wing players. Two franchise guys and two good bigs. Not enough.

That's terrible news for him, hopefully he makes a full recovery.

Orlando routed Milwaukee. Think Giannis or Dame gonna request for a trade soon? Nothing getting done.

absolutely horrible.  hope he recovers quickly.   We have enough injuries in the NBA already from odd things happening in practice and in games, we don't need guys getting hit by cars on foot.

Dame didn’t play. He was out again with a calf injury.

this has been all Middleton has been since his injury for 2 years now though. he hasn't been the 20ppg near all-star since 21-22 before he missed the series against us....I don't think its going to get better. theres a reason they traded for Dame understanding they were going to lose their defensive identity.

Middleton no longer could be a #2. so they were going to have to rely on Jrue for that. and while he's good hes much better in the role as a #3 or in Boston the #4 type guy.

I also think going from Bud to some rookie coach makes no sense to me.

Agree. It's been almost 2 years since that injury, and at no point since then has he looked like All-star Middleton.

IMO that's a really bad sign. If you're only playing at 75% capacity you should probably still be healing up and not playing at all. It makes me think he's not going to get any better, especially considering it's been so long now.

Some guys get hurt and just are never the same again. We certainly have plenty of experience in that department, sadly.
