The story with Embiid basically is the same. MVP-level talent in the regular season, but then the guy just runs out of gas as the playoffs progress. Because they rely on him a ton and all that flopping and falling to the ground certainly takes a toll
To his credit, he has played 66+ games each of the last two seasons and escaped major injuries, but funny enough I think they'd be better off managing him during the season to make sure he's a full-go in the postseason. I mean just watch him late in Game 6 and then Game 7 vs Boston last year. That guy was just laboring and clearly fatigued all around.
I do think the Sixers got better just simply by replacing Rivers with Nick Nurse, and then also adding some legit bench pieces in the Harden trade and doing "addition by subtraction" getting rid of that bum. But yeah, I'm still not worried if it's between Boston-Philly in April-May. I ultimately still don't think PHI has a true answer for the Jays when it counts most, and Horford has shown he can handle Embiid which is a factor. Philly probably is a Top-2 team in the East though this season. I think MIL/MIA take a slight step back
