Clippers lose again. Now 0-3 since adding Harden.

Clearly Harden is the one holding them back lolol. No way the 76ers suddenly are dominating and the Clippers are getting beat.

Smart fouled out in 25mins of play. Finished with 8pts/1reb/2ast. 3-9 from the field, 0-4 from 3pt. Oof…
How do you foul out against the Jazz?  They got no one good enough to foul out against.

Sixers showing no signs of losing. Won 7 in a row. Pretty dangerous.

They look real good. Still though I'm skeptical that Tobias Harris going to average 20ppg on 60% the whole season.

I also expect Oubre to revert to his mean.

What a super fun watch watching Embiid shoot19 free throws and shooting 8/21 from the field for 33 points

They’re definitely better with nick nurse at the helm but don’t really fear them quite yet when it really matters

That would be my worst nightmare for losing a Playoff series. Embiid averaging under 40% but averaging 30+ ppg on 15-20 fts. Worst kind of basketball. I enjoy watching that team more now that Harden is gone. 2 Free throw magnets really bog down the fun of a game.

Worst kind of basketball is chucking 3s.  I'd much rather see a good offensive play sequence that results in a foul and free throws.

I don't think "good offensive sequence that results in a foul and free throws" was what was being talked about. I'd prefer that to three point chucking and foul hunting. Embiid an Harden's Sixers last year were foul hunting. That is the worst kind of basketball.

Embiid still foul hunts. It's just the refs reward him for it.

Can't count how many times he is on the floor. Dude bowled into Derrick white and went flying and it was a foul on white....

His game is that of a free throw merchant.

The story with Embiid basically is the same. MVP-level talent in the regular season, but then the guy just runs out of gas as the playoffs progress. Because they rely on him a ton and all that flopping and falling to the ground certainly takes a toll  :P

To his credit, he has played 66+ games each of the last two seasons and escaped major injuries, but funny enough I think they'd be better off managing him during the season to make sure he's a full-go in the postseason. I mean just watch him late in Game 6 and then Game 7 vs Boston last year. That guy was just laboring and clearly fatigued all around.

I do think the Sixers got better just simply by replacing Rivers with Nick Nurse, and then also adding some legit bench pieces in the Harden trade and doing "addition by subtraction" getting rid of that bum. But yeah, I'm still not worried if it's between Boston-Philly in April-May. I ultimately still don't think PHI has a true answer for the Jays when it counts most, and Horford has shown he can handle Embiid which is a factor. Philly probably is a Top-2 team in the East though this season. I think MIL/MIA take a slight step back

Embiid’s never been in elite shape, that’s the issue.

It’s funny that Shaq was continually criticized for being out of shape during his career, yet Embiid seems to (usually) get a pass. Perhaps it’s because of the 76ers being in a constant state of flux or because of his early injury history, but the media rarely critiques Embiid on his fitness.

A scary thought is that Embiid has never been in elite shape lol

Him and Luka both. Neither of them have ever been in elite shape and they always run out of gas in the playoffs
