Lebron and the lakers are complaining about how he's officiated.  I wonder if the refs union will release another "sleepless nights" statement.

I'm still waiting for the "sleepless nights" statement about the 4th quarter of Game 7 of the 2010 finals.

Same. 21 to 4 free throw advantage for the Lakers was it?

Are they starting to just give him regular star treatment not the super special treatment that he's received most of his career?

Haven't seen a Laker game yet but I watched the last half of the 4th qtr of a recent Bucks game and Giannis was called for not one but two travels.  Could have knocked me over with a feather I was so befuddled.

Lakers are 3-0 at home and 0-4 on the road. Lebron's on/off differential is still an astronomical +46.2, while Davis is an awful -13.4.  If Davis doesn't turn that around, Lakers are in for a long season.

That's a big differential considering a lot of their on-court time should overlap.  I see Woods has numbers close to Lebron.  When Woods is on-court, their off and def rtgs are 112.0 and 97.4.  When AD is on-court, they are 106.9 and 113.6.  Besides Lebron, Wood and Vincent, all the other Lakers have substantially negative net rtgs when they are on-court.

Is there some reason there aren't any games tonight?

The Lakers without Lebron currently would be very irrelevant tbh. Sorry but no one is talking about Anthony Davis that much either once Lebron officially hangs it up (or leaves). Like the whole "complaining about the Lebron non-calls", please  ::)

The West got stronger this year and deeper. I see the Lakers at best squeaking in and then bowing out early this time around. There aren't too many "pretenders" like Memphis last year who were also basically missing their frontcourt due to injury

The West in general looks exciting. Obviously the Nuggets, Warriors and Suns, but even the Mavs look a little better and especially the Wolves with their elite defense and rising young stars. Spurs with Wemby will be entertaining and a tricky team to face.

Lakers probably make the play in game…James tenure in LA has been a bust in my opinion, only reason they won was shortened Covid season..he quit on them first year & blame everyone

the Lakers had the best record in the West when covid stopped the season and Bradley didn't come back when the season resumed (he had started 44 of his 49 games).  Acting like they only won because of covid just isn't a take borne in reality.

But half the Western conference teams were facing injuries/out with Covid except for the Lakers that run. They could only win in the bubble...and unfortunately, they get counted towards the banner count, tying the Celtics for franchise most titles.
