Bucks vs 76ers tonight. Followed by Suns/Lakers. Curious to see how Dame looks in Milwaukee..

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Adrian Wojnarowski: ESPN asked the NBA about James Harden and new Player Participation policy. League is investigating. NBA spokesman Mike Bass: “We’re looking into the facts around James Harden’s availability tonight to determine whether an approved reason exists for his lack of participation.” – via Twitter wojespn

Oh good.  There is the flipside to telling a healthy star that he has to stay home.

Also, where was the poster who claimed this would all work out fine for Philly?

This is unclear to me who would get punished here? James has stayed away from the team for preseason but reportedly tried to show up for this game and was told to go home.

Dame struggling with his shot early on, but he is moving the ball around nicely.

Is it just me or does Dame look miserable with Milwaukee? His facial expression and demeanor is screaming I don’t want to be here. This is not where I want to play. I’d rather have just stayed in Portland. 🤣🤣🤣

I saw Skip Bayless was giving out about Dame the other day for bringing Miami back up and saying that was where he really wanted to be. Skip telling Dame to move on. Let it go.

It is also interesting that they brought in his former coach Terry Stotts to be an assistant and he left during training camp because he couldn't get along with their head coach Adrian Griffin. Stotts was meant to be the bridge to help Dame acclimate easier. Now he is gone.

Seems like Philly are making this situation worse. Not better. With how they are handling Harden.

Lillard looking like the best player on the Bucks.

The Sixers should get punished.  Harden isn't injured or recovering from injury to my knowledge.  They approved Harden's personal absence from the team so they were accepting that he wasn't going to be fully ramped up for the start of the season.  They should have gotten pre-approval for this unusual situation before choosing to make Harden unavailable.  If they didn't they should have let him go on the trip and had him come off the bench for 10 to 15 minutes.

Sixers should cut their losses at this point and just do the Powell, Morris, draft pick trade that the Clippers offered.  Powell and Morris would actually be solid depth additions for the Sixers.

PG - Maxey, Beverley
SG - Powell, Melton, Springer
SF - Harris, Oubre, House
PF - Tucker, Morris, Green
C - Embiid, Reed, Bamba

Obviously Powell + Morris aren't as good as an engaged Harden, but they aren't getting that, so they should just cut bait and pick up some depth help.  If Maxey emerges as a true #2, they might actually end up better with that team anyway
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Man, Harden is really screwing over his teammates right now. Talk about self centered…

Don't think I ever said it would work out fine for Philly.  That's way too vague to be meaningful and would require a level of competence from Sixers management that I certainly wouldn't bet on.

I said Philly had the leverage not Harden which is true.  I said Philly shouldn't accept the crappy offer the Clippers were offering which is true.  While everyone else was saying Harden wouldn't show up, or that he'd show up fat and out-of-shape or that he'd show up and be a big disruption, I said it was in his interest to show up and to play and to be a good soldier, to use your phrase.  I'd say I've been mostly right about that.  As far as this incident, I don't know Harden can be blamed for showing up for the flight to the first game.  The Sixers had been doing a good job handling the Harden situation for a while now so they were due to screw the pooch.  They better rush Harden to the 2nd road game.

Non-sense calls for Giannis. Refs stunting for him even on reviews.
