Bucks getting smoked by the Hawks so far. Atlanta leads 68-47 at the half. Milwaukee’s defense does not look good at all.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Lillard at halftime has zero points

And yeah I'm not surprised about the defense, or lack thereof. Holiday isn't the same defender as 3-4 years ago, but they still got worse on that end. Lillard is a worse defender, and the Bucks were bad at defense last year already. They have to rely on outscoring teams to win and that's not usually a winning recipe. Even last year the C's typically put up 120+ on MIL pretty easily, even in a game where they basically sat their entire starting lineup.

Murray appears to be bothering Lillard quite a bit. Imagine when he’s got to go against both White and Jrue, who will both take advantage of him on the other end, too.

Lillard can't go 2 of 12 for 6 points for the Bucks.  Lillard has to be a #1 scorer to make up for his poor defense.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson

Looking forward to it.  :)

I don't understand Portland's starting lineup. They need to move Thybulle to the bench. They have too many non-shooters. Not enough spacing.

They had a solid idea late last season with Lillard, A Simons, S Sharpe, Jerami Grant and a center (now Ayton). They should have continued with that. Instead they moved Sharpe to the bench in favour of Thybulle while also at same time downgrading from one of the best shooters in the league in Lillard to a poor shooter in Scoot Henderson. It has collapsed their spacing.

A Simons has gotten injured since then. Sharpe now starts in his place. But they still need to move Thybulle back to the bench in favour of another shooter at SF in order to give Scoot enough space to the drive the ball. They are killing his game right now.

Ayton has no room either. It is just a mess.

Spurs are playing the Clippers on NBA TV. Russ seems to be figuring out his role. Kawhi and PG13 are looking good…

Kings up 66-55 at the half over the Lakers. Imagine this was the West Semis matchup last year.

I don't like Taureen Prince as a starter there. They miss the defense of Vanderbilt in between LeBron & AD to give them a solid defensive foundation.

It is not like there is much defense in the backcourt either with D Russell and A Reaves. It feels to me like they need another defensive orientated guy out there.

I also wonder if they would be better off swapping places with D Russell and G Vincent. Let Russell be a 6th man. A scorer and prime offensive threat whenever LeBron rests. Allow Gabe to be his 3+D self at PG next to LeBron. Beef up that backcourt defense.

When we inevitably have a bad night and drop one to a mediocre team, worth remembering this Bucks-Hawks game.

Stuff happens to everybody, contender or not.  We aren’t special.

Milwaukee’s perimeter defense looks really bad. Cannot stop any penetration from Atlanta’s guards. And Lillard a no-show tonight offensively, really struggling with Murray on him. He’s a net negative out there right now.

Maxey and Oubre shredded them too. Their defense is not good.

Yep, Bucks messed up. They basically did what we did when we signed Kemba. They won't get home court for the playoffs...
