Final tally:Embiid 5, DeRozan 2, Young 2, Towns 1.
I think Towns could definitely be on the move at some point. Minny is slated to be a luxury tax team for the 1st time in 20 years or so and they're not competitive enough to support. I wonder if they look to move him for an expiring and a pick or 2. Funny enough, Miami could be a good fit and they have Lowry's contract to facilitate a move.
I think Towns is still worth more than an expiring and 1 or 2 late 1st's, but who knows anymore.
Yeah, I don't really know how to gauge his value at this point, but the combo of his injury proneness and Minny's financial situation leads me to think they could take a lowball offer if they can move off the money.
he makes too much for Boston to acquire. I'm hoping a team like the Knicks don't get him.
Towns doesn’t always play hard on both ends. Doubt Thibs would want round 2 of that. Knicks want Embiid.
The New York Knicks are closely monitoring the situation, hoping it ends with Embiid forcing his way out. Knicks president of basketball operations Leon Rose has made obtaining Embiid, if he becomes available, No. 1 priority, according to sources. 12 hours ago – via Keith Pompey @ The Philadelphia Inquirer
I'm sure they do, but I'm also fairly confident that 1, Philly won't trade him to NY and 2, even if they would, NY won't have the best deal on the table.
