Honestly, I love the LED court for this stuff. Don't need it for an actual game, but for this kind of stuff it's pretty cool.

The NBA really wants Jaylen to win this over a G-League guy lol

McClung absolutely deserved it

McClung can really get up there. But honestly that dunk was just as "meh" as JB's dunks. Shaq is bigger, but JB threw a windmill and a left-handed finish in there. McClung definitely deserved the win, though.

Pretty lackluster dunk contest overall. I think Reggie is right that the three point contest has become the main event of All Star Saturday Night.

Respect to Jaylen for coming out.  The left-hand dunk was funny and he did alright.

While Mac clearly won (and probably by more than the judges let on), I still take issue with the fact that a G-leaguer is headlining this.  I can go on Youtube to see random dudes do better dunks than the ones we saw tonight.  Bring some real NBA stars out, put some money on it if you have to, or just shut it down.

Yeah, I think on the whole, McClung was better than Jaylen, but he didn’t wow me like I thought he would in the Final. Either just bring out the best dunkers in the world for the dunk contest or do stars only.

McClung seems like a really good guy, but he’s not even on a two-way.

Brown was pretty good overall. It's tough for anyone to beat Mcclung.

This is pretty much where I am at.   McClung's dunks weren't that great except for his vertical.  Jalen's dunks were about the same, but I got the feeling that he wasn't going nuts with anything that crazy and was just happy to participate.  I wish the other highlight level dunkers in the NBA wouldn't be scared to be in the contest.  Where is Ant Man?  Where is Zion?  I wish we could get the best dunkers in the game out there.

I don't think so at all.  He was the only 'star' level player with the nuts to put his name in the hat.

So it is the NBA Dunk Contest but they let a G-league player compete.  Doesn't make sense to me.  Good for JB to compete when other star players are afraid to lose.

I didn't really understand this either?   This isn't the G-League all star weekend.   Why not have random guys off of youtube then (like someone else said)? It felt like it was a special case for McClung because he was a great natural leaper / dunker that they could inject some excitement into the dunk contest.

Exactly.  The fact he even decided to do it should be commended.

All stars have been ducking this thing for years.
