With the Dunk contest, I really don't see why guys like Zion, Ant, etc. don't participate in it. It'd be box office. I'm happy to see Jaylen doing it, it's nice to have a real star there and not some 2nd or 3rd stringer most people probably haven't heard of

Ego. Don't want to lose.

There's definitely truth to that.

A game of HORSE with the top 5 NBA players would be really great. Have it as an outdoor event too that all takes place via a social media platform at a leisurely pace. I want to see guys like Luka pulling off trick shots shooting over a fence or on top of a car.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I think Lebron kind of made it a bit less cool by never doing it even as a real good dunker and face of the league. Before that we really regularly had the starts like Jordan, Kobe, Dominque, Larry Johnson, Blake griffin, mcgrady, Vince Carter, Howard etc. Jaylen seems like the first start
In quite a few years.

Hot take-
Sam Hauser was not invited to the 3 point contest because the league wants Dame to win.

That’s not a hot take. That’s just fact.

TP. Exactly.

Bron's always struck me as a power dunker and not a creative one, so his upset potential was high. His refusal to do the dunk contest started the trend of big names skipping out.

Rooting for a Donovan Mitchell win. Anything but Dame at this point is fine, honestly.

I hate the LED court. Did we really need to add another screen to pay attention to?

I also wonder if it affects the players. I didn't hate the IST courts, but this is just too gimmicky for me.

Did I really hear Reggie Miller say that the game has advanced farther because Lauri Markannen scored 25 and Larry Bird scored 16?

Well, at least Dame will be able to hold one trophy this year.  ;)

Sabrina started off super hot. Think the extra distance by the end caught up to her and she lost her legs. Props to her for shooting at the NBA distance. Heck of a shooter.

Originally, they had her shooting from the WNBA three-point line but she said no. Respect to her all-around (and the marketing around her is not my fave, btw).

Her sneakers are really comfortable to hoop in, too.
