Seems odd to fire him in less than a year.

The owner is the real issue there.

Hopefully this makes the Panthers worse, not better.  I want that #1 pick.

I think you have a great chance.  One game lead on Cards & Pats.  Even if Panthers slip up and win one, I think Panthers would still most likely win tiebreaker on weakest SoS.  Cards remaining schedule is brutal so that number isn't dropping.   Given the Pats schedule, I think Panthers would win that tiebreaker too.

Urban Meyer lasted longer than Reich. Yikes

But yeah, their ownership is a massive problem in Carolina. It also seems like they bungled the QB as well, Stroud is looking like the best in that class

The rumor that came out is that the coach wanted Stroud and the owner wanted Young.

I'd love it if CHI drafted the next bust Caleb Williams at #1. Would allow the Patriots to draft Marvin Harrison Jr or trade back for a tackle.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

As a Mass transplant living in Chicago, Bears fans have been through enough these past few years.  Whoever they draft, I hope they don't bust. The city is just better when the Bears are good.    I do hope that they fire Eberflus, though.  That guy is in over his head.

At this point, you know that we are going to have a high draft pick, even at worst, and quite possibly a top 3 or better pick.  Our greatest need is clearly QB.  We don't currently have an NFL level QB on the roster.  The most important position possibly in all of sports, and that is where we are the most hurting.

But drafting a QB with a top 3 pick scares me.  There are so many misses every year.  Even with a top 3 pick, it might be 50/50 that you get a total bust and maybe 1 in 10 turn out to be a legit star with any level of longevity.  If you use that pick and miss, you are doomed.

I would probably trade the pick and try to build up the infrastructure; things like OL, receivers, line backers.  There are generally plenty of solid middle to late first rounders that are good at these other positions.  Then pick a QB a little later plus sign or trade for a decent vet QB to hold down the fort for a couple of seasons.

I honest believe that we are 1 or 2 OL from a solid line.  Once the line is set, the backs and receivers start to look a lot better.  Add a hot shot young receiver or two, plus some defensive reinforcements, and I think the team can be really good, assuming we can find a half decent QB.

I'm high on Jayden Daniels too. I expect him to rise and become a Top-10 pick. He was also dynamite this season and has a great build/skillset for today's NFL
