Alabama is in.

If it were up to me, I would have it in order: Michigan, Washington, Texas, Alabama

Now if Iowa upsets Michigan, that'd be hilarious

Tbh even if Florida State wins, idk if they'd want to have them make it with a backup or 3rd string QB. I feel like they'd have to win very convincingly today to have a chance. Either way, there could be 1-2 upset teams at the end of this (Georgia/Texas/Florida State) but that's just the reality of a 4-team playoff. I'm glad they are making it a 12-team format starting next season.

Roll Tide Roll!!  SEC Champions!!  Looked like it was going to be a 3-loss team even midseason.  Whole lot of issues to overcome during the season and the team still has room for improvement.

Milroe improved throughout the season and they started to use him more in RPOs and just QB runs in general. It made them very dangerous. Even Georgia had trouble in crucial moments to stop Milroe, or plan for both the pass or run.

Although I'm a bit surprised to hear ESPN, FOX Sports and other networks seem to suggest that if Florida State wins tonight, it could be Michigan, Washington, Texas and Florida State with zero SEC teams. Surely they won't keep any SEC team out, right? Or will they.

That's the order I'd have assuming Michigan wins.  Michigan losing to Iowa would be hilarious.  Bama would certainly be in but who would be the 4th team?  Really don't want Georgia to slide into the playoffs.

If Iowa did beat Michigan, I think Florida State is in the clear and makes it over Georgia

As some people have said, Georgia has also had some shaky games this season including just last week, and they lost today in a game where frankly it felt like Alabama was in control most of it. That stuff will be factored in I imagine. Unless if Florida State *barely* wins like it's a last second win

Not if they are choosing the 4 best teams but the committee really falls back on record.  The committee has never chosen a 1-loss P5 team over an undefeated P5 team.  They really don't reward playing tougher schedules for all their talk.

I was factoring in a Florida State loss.  An undefeated FSU ACC champ would get in over Georgia.  If it is 1-loss teams:  Georgia, Michigan, Florida State and OSU fighting for the 4th spot, I think they'd pick Georgia.

Oh yeah I agree. Because Georgia's loss would look "better" than Michigan losing to a #20 Iowa

There is no way an unbeaten ACC Champ that beat 2 SEC teams in the non-con is not in the playoff.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

In that case, it's likely Georgia and Alabama are out. Maybe they already consider Texas in the SEC and put them in

If they put Alabama in over Texas there will rightfully be a lot of criticism. In that case, what's the point of the regular season if head-to-heads also don't count really?

LSU would be their best win.  Beating a 7-loss Florida team who was also without their starting QB isn't much to crow about.

I think Alabama goes instead of Texas even with the head to head.  Wouldn't be the first time the committee has done that.

If you want the best 4 teams, Florida State without Jordan Travis should be out.  Otherwise you've basically given the #1 team a bye week for the 1st playoff game.
