Rooting for Louisville and Okie St. (Along with Georgia and Michigan). Will make for an interesting discussion as to who 4th should be.
Thinking OSU can backdoor its way into the playoffs?

Washington is obviously a lock. Michigan should be a lock even if they somehow lost (at least over Ohio state). Would Ohio state get in over Georgia even if Georgia lost? Would Alabama be in then? It’s hard to imagine a scenario where Ohio state gets in without playing.
Seems quite easy given the way the committee has been ranking this year and past history.  For all the talk of choosing the 4 best teams, the committee hasn't ever take a 1-loss team over an undefeated or a 2-loss over a 1-loss.  In 2016, 1-loss OSU made the playoffs without playing in the conference championship game.  In 2017, 1-loss Bama did the same.

So Oregon is already out of it with 2 losses.  If Bama and Texas lose, they'll have 2 losses and be out of it.  If FSU loses, they'll have 1 loss and OSU will certainly be ranked ahead of them.  Louisville would be ACC champ but they'd have 2 losses and OSU would be ranked ahead them.  So it would be the 3 undefeateds, Georgia, Michigan and Washington and 1-loss OSU in the playoffs.

Rooting for Florida state, Michigan & Georgia…don’t want Ohio state in yuck
I agree with that OSU getting in would be yuck.  I'd love to see Michigan lose to Iowa.  Michigan losing doesn't help OSU.  The B1G is so overrated.  Having a 20+pt favorite in your championship game is embarrassing.  Regardless of anything else Bama beating Georgia knocks OSU out unless it is a blowout.  Michigan, Washington, Bama and Georgia would certainly be ahead of OSU.

I think Ohio State needs Florida State, Texas, and Bama to lose.  Oregon and Florida State, with their losses, probably fall from 4 and 5 to below OSU at 6 in that case.  Bama and Texas stay below, and Louisville and Ok State are not good enough to jump ahead.

That would frustrate me if that happens.  I’m rooting for Florida State and Texas, to keep the SEC out of the CFP.

Ohio State was 6th in the last rankings. 5 Oregon has already lost.  If 4 FSU loses to 14 Louisville and 7 Texas loses to 18 Okie St, and then Georgia beats 8 Alabama and Michigan wins, it would be pretty hard for Ohio State not to be in.  So yeah, that is what I'm rooting for.  It is basically what happened last year and Ohio State arguably got robbed from beating Georgia (the hit that put Harrison out and took a TD off the board after being called a penalty and then overturned).  I'd like to see them get another shot at Georgia even though both teams aren't as good as they were last year.

They didn't get robbed.  That hit was not targeting and was correctly overturned.  The Georgia player led with his shoulder and there was some incidental side helmet to side helmet contact.
Officials on the field lean toward calling targeting on hard hits just like they lean toward saying a fumble has occurred.

Assuming Georgia + Michigan win, Florida State loses AND Texas wins, I wonder who they pick between Ohio State and Texas. Personally, I'd go Texas. I do think the fact that Ohio State isn't playing while Texas and others still are should be a factor. And say what you want,  but I thought USC got screwed the exact same way last year. They played the PAC 12 Champ Game ranked #4 while Ohio State sat at home at #5, and because USC lost the extra game they got taken out. Should have been Georgia vs. USC

Curious to see what they do this time. If Texas wins the BIG 12 and Florida State loses which I think might be likely actually, then Texas should go in. Frankly even if Alabama beats Georgia I'd put Texas in, they do have the head to head over Alabama on the road as well.

I’d go with the one loss conference champion who actually played this weekend in this instance.

Plus Texas has the better win having beaten Bama on the road.

Michigan and Texas should win easily.  Georgia/Bama and FSU/Louisville might be good games.

Yeah I wasn’t really thinking they would pick osu over Texas if Texas wins and I don’t think Texas is losing. As I’ve said I’m a big ten fan as a Penn state alum and the conference as well penn state were just not very good this year.

Doesn't feel like there'll be much drama in the Big 12 Game. Texas dominating so far.

Texas/Oklahoma rematch would have been much more interesting.  Texas is going to run up the score against Okie St to make it harder for the committee to leave them out.  That's interesting with all the grief SEC fans get for rooting for other SEC teams.  Rarely hear someone admit to being a fan of another conference.

Personally I think it has been a down year for all of CFP.  Just aren't any elite teams although Georgia is closest.  The 3 most talented teams, Georgia, Bama and OSU, all breaking in new QBs.  Well maybe Texas A&M should be in the top 3 but they screwed the pooch as usual.

It's horrendous. Texas just completing deep ball after deep ball. Ewers now 14/15, 244 yards with 3 TDs and they are close to a 4th TD here
