The Jazz select Artis Gilmore

Low key candidate for best center in the league.

As good as Mutombo and Gobert are, how good would they be if they could give you 15-20ppg and above average passing? That is Artis Gilmore. Not quite as good defensively but not too far off either.

Giannis before Giannis. Watching tape of him and the fluidity is astonishing. Could have been anything

The Memphis Grizzlies select:
7x All-Star (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019)
2x All-NBA 2nd Team (2015, 2018)
3x All-NBA 3rd Team (2011, 2014, 2016)
All-Rookie 1st Team (2007)

LaMarcus Aldridge, PF

Aldridge is a very good pickup. I was interested in pairing him with Alonzo. Nice big body PF. The body of a C with the shooting skill of a PF. I thought they would work well together.

Aldridge one of the better one-on-one scorers at the PF position in this draft. Amare is probably the best. One other guy I like who hasn't been drafted yet. Maybe Aldridge 3rd. His size makes him such a matchup problem for opponents.

His size helps a lot on defense too. Not the most talented defender but physically imposing. I am always shocked at the number of guys who shy away from challenging him. It is not like he is a great shot-blocker or a fierce intimidator / enforcer. But 7 feet is 7 feet.

I'll take one of my binkies, and a guy that fits this team perfectly (and someone who would've absolutely thrived in today's league).

I love watching him in the All-Star games especially when Magic is in the game alongside him. Run and gun basketball. Sampson was so much fun in that uptempo All-Star type offense. So difficult to guard. Too fast. Too skilled.

And he was held back in Houston by Olajuwon. Olajuwon forced him out of the low post where he was best and into the high post where he was good but not as good as the low block. Sampson would always play his best basketball when Olajuwon was out of the game and on the bench. He was finally able to play his proper position at center instead of at PF. If not for Olajuwon, we would have seen even more from Sampson before he got injured.

Loved Michael Redd. Always felt like he got overshadowed trying to pick up where Ray Allen had left off, but he was an exceptional talent in his own right

Are you going to start Schrempf at PF?

G: Dennis Johnson
G: Sidney Moncrief
F: Chris Mullin
F: Detlef Schrempf
C: Ben Wallace

Or bring Schrempf off the bench as a 6th man?
