What if Brad is really trying to pull of Lillard?  That's why everything is so quiet.

He would send Brogdon to the Clippers.  Portland gets Rob, Zubac, Mann, Pritchard, Hauser, and for filler Marcus Morris contract. Boston shoots over future picks and pick swaps.

Clippers get Brogdon, Nurkic, Kornet.

Boston is left with a Big 4 plus Derrick White so the best starting 5 in the NBA.  Only Horford and Brissett left on the bench. Maybe they sign Grant Williams for big money first 2 years and just go for broke for the next two seasons.

Would be nuts but hey let's get nuts

Would prefer trading Horford over Rob Williams. I’m generally against trading for Lillard.

Agree completely. Not only that, I don't really want a big 4.  Call me crazy.  I want to see a big 2 or a big 3 learn to share the ball dynamically.  Low turnover numbers and great defense.  That's my hope for upcoming season.

Yeah.  I mean, I'd be excited by a lineup with KP, Tatum, Brown, Lillard and White.  But, as we've seen at the Olympics, dream teams don't always work out.  KP and Lillard are fragile, and we'd have perhaps the worst bench in the league.

Not saying I want to trade for Lillard, but I do think there could be something brewing involving the C's, maybe not even for Lillard but acting as a 3rd team in negotiations. That could be the holdup with some things.

There's only one basketball meaning someone has to be willing to give the ball up. Tatum will at times but then who gets the ball at crunch time?  Also defensively you pretty much suck and there's nothing coming off the bench.

We went this route a few years ago, Hayward was the guy who gave up the ball and it didn't work out too well. And that's before you get to fitting the contract.

If teams really want to be compensated for taking on Tyler Herro's contract, we've kind of lost the plot here.

Herro's contract isn't bad at all for what he is as a player. He's good!

Now, if you are taking advantage bc it's how a deal gets done, then take all the advantage!

Miami having problems finding a 3rd team.

Keith Smith trying to help his value for Miami.

He is overpaid. He's an above average scorer, terrible defender, and is starting to stack up injuries.

Herro sucks. Can't guard and is hurt a lot. I would not want the contract either.

I would take Herro for Brogdon and the Warriors first. Blazers get an extra solid first and can flip Brogdon for more assets at the deadline.

He’s a scorer on middling efficiency and a poor defender, about to start on a 4 year $120M deal.

Can’t blame teams for not wanting to pay that price for that output really.  Especially with the CBA about to put the squeeze on large non-star contracts.

While the 76ers are viewed as a potential threat to the Heat, Philadelphia has not made Tyrese Maxey available in a trade, according to two national outlets.

It's the NBA.  Players being overpaid is par for the course.  Blazers just gave Jerami Grant (5yr/150M) which equates to Herro's (4yr/120M).  Is Herro really a terrible defender?  That seems overstated.  He has had some injuries but he's also young.  All that being said, I understand teams not having much interest in Herro.

I remember him being targeted defensively in the playoffs last year when he was healthy. I think hes improved since hes came into the league but he is without a doubt a bottom 1/4 of the east guards on that end.
ok fine

Agree with most of what KOC writes here. Essentially argues that a straight trade with Miami would be one of the worst star trades in recent memory for Portland, and they should look elsewhere and not  be solely limited to Miami as a trade partner just for the sake of Dame.

Herro, Robinson, mid round picks and a rookie off the bench would be just an awful trade for portland. No value whatsoever.

I wouldn't include Maxey in a Lillard deal.  Lillard is a modest improvement over Harden.  Maxey's personal development is the best chance for their team's improvement.  Now if they could somehow flip Harden and Maxey for Lillard and Bridges they just might have a championship contender.
