Clippers are gauging Paul George's trade value and are "giving real consideration to the idea of disassembling the Kawhi Leonard-Paul George tandem.”

Marc Stein

I'd be all over Paul George if I were Brad

PG is making 42M. Maybe Brogdon + a signed GWill + filler? I’m not sure why the Clips do this though. Maybe add a protected first rounder?

I wondered about George. He's still a really good defender. I think he will likely have an Andre Igoudala-impact for a team over the last few years of his career. I think he'd be a great fit.

Brogdon and Smart for George works for me.

So assuming the Zinger trade happens, I'd love to see Boston go after Sexton.  Maybe sign and trade Grant + Pritchard for Sexton.  Bench could use the scoring pop Sexton provides.

Starters - Smart, Brown, Tatum, Zinger, Rob
Rotation - Sexton, White, Hauser, Muscala, Horford

I like that team a lot.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Grant as part of a deal for Sexton would not work.  Base year compensation (assuming that Grant's contract is > 120% of last season).  He only counts 50% as outgoing salary but counts 100% as incoming.

And I am not interested in Sexton in any case.  Rather have Grant and Pritchard.

Apparently Ainge values Sexton a lot. I don't think that's enough to sway DA. I really like Sexton, too.

I like Sexton a lot. Defensively, I think we want Zinger in the Rob Williams defensive spot on the baseline. They are likely staggering their minutes. That means ideally we'd have a switchable 4 to split minutes with Al. For that reason, I'd like to keep Grant Williams. I'd rather avoid putting the Js at the 4 to save their legs.

Not sure if there is another way to get Sexton.

LeBron James may be growing ‘frustrated’ with superstar teammate Anthony Davis, and is over their pairing together. This comes from CBS Sports NBA Insider Bill Reiter, in an appearance on CBS Sports’ the Zach Gelb Show. “There is a power struggle going on between LeBron and GM Rob Pelinka… I think LeBron is over AD, and there’s a non zero chance he could get dealt this offseason.” 5 hours ago – via Peter Alexis @ Clutch Points

So a couple of ideas off of this.  First, if we did the trade as part of this season, I think we could trade Al Horford and Grant Williams for Davis.  At least the 2022-23 salaries work in the FANSPO trade machine.

If we do the trade next season (after July 1), we could offer Brogdon but in order for salaries to match, we would probably need to include RWill also.  Brogdon + Gallinari + Pritchard also works.

What do you think?  I think Davis is underrated at this point.  Durability is going to continue to be an issue but we could probably manage that.  For LAL, there was pressure on him to score a lot as well and rebound and defend.  It could be a very different situation in Boston.
Would anyone trade Brown for Davis? Or Smart + Al + Muscala + Kornet?

I have no idea what Davis' trade value would be these days

Depends what his contract starts at on whether or not it would work.  I believe there is a sweet spot though where the trade can happen.

Yeah a reigned in Sexton would be awesome. He always seems to give 110%. I feel like when given too much responsibility he can get out of control. Leading a second unit with at least 3 players ahead of him in the order could really work out.

Could we get #16 pick for Grant and Pritchard?  Take back Rudy Gay and Horton-Tucker contracts?

Wow! Did not see that happening with his injury issues. Is Milwaukee collapsing?

They’ll probably giving him a longer (restructured) contract to stay in Milwaukee?
