Kyle Kuzman decline his player option and now a UFA.. he be a nice fit in Dallas or Brooklyn

Neither team has cap space and he wants more than the MLE.
Which he deserves. Was playing very well this season

Probably a debate for a different thread. I don't think winning teams can pay that much to inefficient, scoring forwards that can't play defense.

He may be worth that on fringe playoff teams, but not for a team like the Mavs that have championship aspirations.

The Pacers could show interest in Tobias Harris, Dorian Finney-Smith or De’Andre Hunter, per Draft Express.

PG is making 42M. Maybe Brogdon + a signed GWill + filler? I’m not sure why the Clips do this though. Maybe add a protected first rounder?

I had no idea that De'Andre Hunter could be available from the Hawks. He has a boat anchor contract but I like him better than Bey.

I remember Saddiq Bey having a bunch of good games against us when he was with the Pistons but I was never that impressed by him. He always felt like a guy putting up empty numbers on a bad team. That he wouldn't get that playing time or shot attempts elsewhere.

I was happy whenever he was on the floor for the Hawks (in the playoff series). He wasn't much of a threat. And he wasn't much of a defender. He was just another one of their wing defenders who couldn't cope with Jaylen or Tatum. I thought Bey was a minus defender both in Detroit and in Atlanta.

And it is not like he is that efficient on offense. He has a career 55% TS% over his 3 years in the NBA. He did better in Atlanta in a smaller role but that was only 25 games and he couldn't maintain in the playoffs (TS% 51%). And shooting is what he supposedly does best.

I am not sure how good of a player he is. I don't think he is a good starter. He is a fine bench player but I am not sure he is a high end bench player.

I see Hauser as a middle of the pack bench SF.
Who are these wing defenders who don't struggle with two All-NBA wings on the same team?

Did you think Bey played good defense on Tatum or Jaylen in that series? I don't think any of their wings were impressive defensively.

Do you think Bey is a good defender generally? Outside of that series I mean.
I think Bey is an okay defender. I don't think a series defines him, and think he'll improve in a better defensive system.

I prefer Jalen Johnson to Bey in a trade. Think his upside is much higher.  Started to show his potential in series vs Celtics.

LeBron James may be growing ‘frustrated’ with superstar teammate Anthony Davis, and is over their pairing together. This comes from CBS Sports NBA Insider Bill Reiter, in an appearance on CBS Sports’ the Zach Gelb Show. “There is a power struggle going on between LeBron and GM Rob Pelinka… I think LeBron is over AD, and there’s a non zero chance he could get dealt this offseason.” 5 hours ago – via Peter Alexis @ Clutch Points

So a couple of ideas off of this.  First, if we did the trade as part of this season, I think we could trade Al Horford and Grant Williams for Davis.  At least the 2022-23 salaries work in the FANSPO trade machine.

If we do the trade next season (after July 1), we could offer Brogdon but in order for salaries to match, we would probably need to include RWill also.  Brogdon + Gallinari + Pritchard also works.

What do you think?  I think Davis is underrated at this point.  Durability is going to continue to be an issue but we could probably manage that.  For LAL, there was pressure on him to score a lot as well and rebound and defend.  It could be a very different situation in Boston.

Would love for the Cs to reshape the roster a bit. Don't think Kornet gives you anything. Same with Muscala.

PP needs to be moved because he is not getting any time...OR you keep him and move Brogdan.

Hauser still is not trusted in the playoffs when the Cs need a third wing that can be counted on. He is just regular season fodder. Get someone else in they can trust and they can play.

Grant? No idea what happens. He was in and out of the line up when they needed guys in the playoffs.

I would move Gallo. Have zero trust in him with his age and the injury he is coming off.

Celtics need a legit vet with some championship. They lacked leadership and poise too often

Grant is a pending free agent.  He is no longer trade eligible as part of the 2022-23 season.

OK, I had a feeling there was something like that.  So the 2022-23 version would have to include Horford + say Pritchard.  Not something LAL would do (well, maybe LeBron wound but I doubt GM Pelinka would).  But that still leaves Brogdon + Gallinari + Pritchard or something like that.  I wouldn't do that trade if I was LAL, but you never know.
