Per source, Jordan Walsh is headed to the Celtics and Mouhamed Gueye is not.

Good to hear. I didn't know who Gueye was but Jordan Walsh is going to be a real player for this team.

He seems like he can be a very good defender, but he seems like a complete zero on offense.

He could be an Aaron Gordon light. Decent feel for the game and seems to also have decent court vision.

Walsh excelled in the draft combine, maybe we have a diamond in the rough here.

He's only 19. So he's obviously a project.

Walsh seems to be a replacement for grant without any offense at all.

Defense and rebounding only

He doesn't look even close to Grant offensively.  Grant was a consistent threat from outside for us.

Well, Brad was very active.  I'll give him that.  Feels kind of meh in terms of the players obtained.  But it feels like the focus was more on stocking up on those extra 2nd round picks to facilitate future deals.

Fixed it for you.  2nd rounders are expected to go up in value with the new CBA, so it wasn’t bad to get a good amount of them back.  Hopefully they’re quality ones.

Well, tbf, Grant when drafted didn't look close to Grant now.

I can talk myself into Walsh.  Many of us were calling for Rupert as early as the #25.  I’m not convinced he does anything Walsh can’t also do, and we got him in the middle of the second.  So if he had killer workouts, cool.  I can get on board with that.

Won’t have to worry about Walsh taking shots away from anyone. That’s a plus

I guess they need someone to defend on the 2nd unit.  Team has plenty of scoring.

I watched Walsh in the NCAA tournament. I loved his game! weird as he stood out as a real high energy guy.  Always seemed to be int he right place at the right time.
He had a huge impact on the game.

I just watched like 3 minutes of a highlight video of Walsh and tbf, it was showing him knocking down a bunch of 3s. So he can technically shoot, but he just has a lot of work to do in that department. Apparently he's a great FT shooter, too, and that is supposed to translate to NBA 3pt shooting...or so I've heard.

Grant shot 25% from 3 pt range his first year and only took a third as many shots as he did this past season. He shot 41% in year 3 so he got a lot better. Hopefully this guy can improve his shooting the same way.  Walsh shot about 28% from 3 in one season at Arkansas. That's about where Jaylen was when he got drafted.

I think tonight was about money. I think Brad is worried he can afford to sign JT, JB and now KP, to long contracts.
Would be cool if we can lock all 3 up long term.

I actually Love our new Big 3! KP Never lived up to all the early hype, Hopefully he will with the Celtics.
