Does anyone think Walsh makes this team? I don’t. He going to be in Maine with Davison

So they turned 25 into Jordan Walsh and 4 future second rounders. That seems like solid enough business to me.

Per source, the Celtics traded No. 39 for a future second-round pick.

Does this mean I can go to sleep now?

Not quite sure.  Someone said we got 45 also from Memphis for Smart, but they didn’t share their source and I haven’t seen anyone else say that.

According to the guys on NBC Sports Boston, we have no further picks remaining tonight.  For now…

Walsh seems to be a replacement for grant without any offense at all.

Defense and rebounding only

Huh, for some reason I though we had 45. My bad.

I think he might. The team is going to be expensive, he will be on a cheap contract, and with the shooting the c's have at center thye can afford a non shooter out there.

I get it, people don't like the shooting. But in some ways I think its better to take a guy with some pretty good measurables who is young and try to develop the shooting. You aren't getting a complete ready made player in the 20-40 range.

I was impressed with Walsh’s motor when I saw him once last season. Outside of that I got nothing.

Walsh excelled in the draft combine, maybe we have a diamond in the rough here.

Mohamed Gueye?

Seriously?

Just two garbage picks ticketed for the g league
worry not. PBS just traded him for (wait for it) a second rounder. i am not joking.

Could this be a CBA play?  Keeping a pile of just-in-case second rounders around to stock the deep bench in the event if cap restrictions?  Otherwise I’m struggling to pin down a strategy.  I’m not so sure the Belichick draft profile works the same way in the NBA.

He doesn't look even close to Grant offensively.  Grant was a consistent threat from outside for us.

So to sum up:

We got Jordan Walsh and three 2nd round picks today?

Jordan Walsh projects to a possibly elite wing defender but can't shoot worth a lick!

Well, Brad was very active.  I'll give him that.  Feels kind of meh in terms of the players obtained.  But it feels like the focus was more on stocking up on those extra 2nd round picks to facilitate future deals.

from what i see, he plays good defense, has ability in many areas, but can't shoot worth a lick. but he is young and maybe he can learn.

Trades, man. Look at recent trades. The new CBA is making them a much more attractive option given their lack of a required contract and lower cost. Brad has shown a major propensity for trades, and that's how I view this.
