Brogdon has arrived in Boston and will be ready for training camp. “Everybody’s in Boston, everybody’s healthy, knock on wood,” Stevens said. “If everybody gets through the rest of the week, we should be full next Tuesday when we start practice. We’re excited about that.” – via Boston Globe

Maybe this can all turn around and be a positive. Maybe Brogdon plays with a chip on his shoulder, with a little more of an edge than what he normally does.Has anyone every gotten back to back 6MoY awards? Go get it Malcolm!
As the Blazers began to start serious trade talks across the league on Sept. 18, a bevy of teams — the Bucks, Boston Celtics, New Orleans Pelicans, Toronto Raptors, Minnesota Timberwolves and Chicago Bulls — all showed interest in Lillard, league sources said. Meanwhile, in Lillard’s camp, sources briefed on the matter said there was a realization that he would need to start seriously considering the prospect of playing somewhere other than Miami. – via The Athletic Staff, Shams Charania, Sam Amick @ The Athletic
While not quite as splashy as a trade for Damian Lillard or Jrue Holiday, the Boston Celtics continue to work on their roster for the 2023-24 NBA season, with Spotrac’s Keith Smith reporting that the Celtics have signed guard Jordan Schakel to an unguaranteed contract for training camp.Schakel, an undrafted wing out of San Diego State University from the 2021 class, has since played for the Washington Wizards and their G League affiliate, the Capital City Go Gos, and most recently with the Santa Cruz Warriors, the developmental affiliate of the Golden State Warriors in that league. There, the 6-foot-6 shooting guard put up 11.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game while shooting 40.7% from beyond the arc, 45.5% from the field, and 84.0% from the free throw line in 27 total appearances.

Another one for the Brad Steven's Wayward Home for Marginal NBA Players. Stevens seems to be taking the Miami Heat route hoping he can strike gold with dudes off the scrap heap.

Every team has players like this in their training camp this month.

The Boston Celtics signed D.J. Steward to a non-guaranteed training camp contract. Steward will likely join the Maine Celtics of the G League following the preseason. – via RealGM
