Now it’s back down to two second rounders we get, per Woj.

Without other moves this is a bad trade. Makes it seem like ownership is cheap.

When they should be pushing their chips on the table

Brissett and Banton. That’s brad’s plan.

The 2nd apron stuff with the picks does not kick in till 3 years' time, by that stage Grant would have been on the last year of the contract and the cap could have gone up by 30%, but I am not going to stress about a role player, the major worry is that 2nd row joe sucks and can't be trusted to develop talent or handle the minutes of the vets or anything in particular

The move now is to go all in and get Dame.
Stop being cheap and stop bringing in trash that do not help this team win a title.

Bench consists of a

Brogdan and Pp
Hauser
Brissett
Kornet
Al or Rob
Walsh

I don’t count Banton because he’s not a real player

That’s an awful bench. Just terrible.

It really isn't. There are two players that would be starting for many other teams, a young player in a contract year that has shown quite a bit, and a shooting specialist.

I think its likely we still will try to get one or two more guys, but we aren't doing bad. This isn't the 2020 Celtics.

Brogdan—always hurt
PP—no idea if he can be a legit player
Hauser—not trusted by the coach
Brissett—g league talent
Rob—always hurt
Banton—not a nba player
Kornet—a waste of space

This bench is awful

Going to run Tatum and brown into the ground. No scoring at all on the bench

Gosh, can you imagine going into the playoffs if Brogdon and Timelord are injured. That bench would be the worst in the league. And those two guys aren't exactly small injury risks. Neither is Porzingis in the starting lineup.

Yeah, there are two great bench players there. You are right. Both starting caliber players. Good starters.

Strong 7 man rotation for the playoffs.

Then a little Hauser. Pritchard. Not much else.

The end of the rotation isn't good but the top 7 are brilliant and can lead a team to a title.

There’s gotta be another shoe that drops because the C’s continue to mortgage depth for cheap signings and picks.

There is no shoe to drop.  Wyc is cheap; maximizing profits above all else; he needs to sell the team

actually, the cap could possibly go up by 33%, as the 10 percent rise could be compounded, potentially.

So we should generate something like a $6.5m trade exception for this, correct?

If so, who’s out there in that range that we can use that on? And can’t you now use tpes for free agents, too, in the new cba?

That is good. That is useful. That could net us a solid end of rotation caliber bench player. Use the TMLE for another solid end of rotation. That is two legit guys to go alongside Brogdon & Timelord on the bench. Plus Hauser. That is 10 deep. That is a plan.

We shall see, if this was to simply save luxury tax money my hope in ownership is basically gone.

I disagree. The Celtics are a few injures to being screwed
Hauser and PP aren’t giving you anything
Brissett can’t shoot and should not be in any rotation
Banton is an overseas player

Going to run the jays into the ground

I honestly think Brad is done,
Ownership is cheap. Wasting a championship window trying to get by with guys that are not nba level on the bench

White, brogdan, Pp
Brown, Banton
Tatum, hauser
KP, Rob, Kornet
AL, Brissett, Walsh

He will add a few scrubs from the summer league team and horde the second round picks for another day

You don't think we'll trade Brogdon for a couple of 9th / 10th in the rotation types?

That's Grant Williams, not Grant Hill.  I was hoping for a 1st, and would have been pretty happy with that.  So instead it looks like multiple 2nds.  Hard to be happy with a 1st and then devastated to get multiple 2nds.  My point is losing Grant means a weak bench ONLY if the C's do nothing else.

I think about 2 weeks ago people were churning up their anger when they thought Porzingis might only be here for 1 year.  Then there was news of the 3 year deal...  This is not the last move the C's will make.  One thing at a time.  Brad gets assets for Grant and we'll see what he does.  I'm pretty sure he knows that his top 7 are both excellent and injury prone, and his deep bench is inadequate.   I'll be shocked if this is the final roster -- but no reason to be angry now.  I like Grant and wish he was here, but keeping Grant Williams was not the difference between title/no title as Dallas will also learn.
