Still time left in the summer, but if Boston winds up where it basically is now, not sure the Celtics improved. After Brad Stevens said Boston had a “green light” to spend, it certainly appears there was a red light when it came to passing the second apron to keep Grant Williams.

  • GOT IT!!!
I really hope this isn’t simply Stevens overrating KP. The way he was staring at him during the press conference, I do now wonder.

lots of noise is that they are trying to get off Brogdan, sounds crazy to me, the word is, that he is hurt so his value is at an all-time low.

I don’t think he’s overrating KP, but Stevens is certainly rolling the dice considering his injury history. Also, TP for the press conference comment. I was waiting for someone else to mention that. Brad was looking like a kid in a candy shop. It was a little disturbing, TBH.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I think the roster is pretty much set. Not much else will be added.

Brad will say they want roster flexibility and to have the ability to do something at the deadline but we all know they won’t do a thing.

Your 2023-24 Celtics:

White
Brown
Tatum
KP
Al
Brogdan
PP
Rob
Brissett
Hauser
Kornet
Banton
Walsh
Davison

Leave a spot open for “flexibility” or that champaigne dude

Man, when you get on these negativity binges you’re like a freight train - nothing is slowing you down lol

Oh no! A guy who hardly played for us last year in the playoffs got signed to a big contract elsewhere.

If anything, this demonstrates the Cs ability to fill the ranks with solid role players.

Lol. I really believe this is what we will have. I think ownership has made it clear that they have to make due with a bench that is very poor because of money.

I think this feels worse because we lost both Muscala and Gallo in the KP trade. I’d be alot more comfortable right now if we had either one of those guys as the fourth big.

I hope Tatum is voicing his concerns behind the scenes at least.

I can not really blame him if he leaves in a couple of years if they refuse to spend enough to win a chip and reinforce the bench.

Yeah, thats kind of how I feel. One of those 2 could've been a contributor. Not sure who else is out there we could try and get.

maybe bring Blake Griffin back? I mean he has to be good for 15minutes a night.

My theory:

We are trading Brogdon and draft capital to the Hornets for PJ Washington in a SnT. This will include a wink wink deal that the Hornets will buy out Hayward, who will then sign with the Celtics.

C's can not receive any players in sign and trades, they are above the 1st apron.

I think we finally see movement on the free agent market for the Celtics tomorrow now that the Grant situation has sorted itself out.
