Marcus Smart said he was "ecstatic" about the lineup change. Said he knows Mazzulla has "been getting (criticized) lately, and rightfully so." Said Mazzulla is learning on the fly and made the proper adjustments for Game 6.

Yikes lol

That's pretty explicit. Seems like even the players understand this and are just trying to salvage the best out of it and hoping they can will themselves to a title despite this handicap.
I've been following the local teams for 5 decades - i have NEVER heard a Boston athlete publicly admit that their coach is a liability. It has come out 2nd hand from reporters 'whispers' in the past - but for Smart to just throw his coach under the bus publicly like that.  Unbelievable.

Next step is for someone to publicly question Brad or ownership about that statement.

Interesting thing is that this comes a day after Smart defended Mazzulla.  Not sure what to make of that.

I am having a horrible day and game has not even started.

Bad feeling

Sixers 133
Celtics 92

Let this be the reverse jinx but I have lost confidence.

You know, I almost got the Celtics score right to a tee! Sunday I am feeling we lose by 47!😂

Got to wonder if the players themselves are also peeved about the deviation from last year's starting lineup, but don't want to make a stink out of it and upset Joe and/or White.

Smart calling Joe out? That's probably the smartest thing he said all night. Hope it increases pressure on Brad, to hopefully can this guy and hire a real coach.

The team won because of the players

Sorry if mentioned before, but any idea what time the game is on Sunday?  Terrible day for a game imo.

I hope its not a matinee game

Whatever he's said in public I'm sure they've said it to each other in private already. I think it's already baked into their calculus so whatever Smartacus said won't really make anything worse than it already is. He's probably talking about the timeout issue in game 4 which is where the adjustments comment came from.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

It actually might be 3:30 if Golden State wins tomorrow

Assuming DEN holds on, then BOS-PHI and LAL-GSW play Sunday. No way they’d have a 12:30 game PST, so that LAL-GSW game has to be in the evening

If Lakers win tomorrow and this is the only Game 7, maybe it’s an evening game

I'll lead with the good: Robert Williams—finally! Though I don't know why it took Joe so long. Yeah, the matchup with Embiid is bad, but Rob can (obviously) still contribute plenty, and he did. I know he missed a couple defensive assignments, but most Celtics players made multiple bad plays tonight, so in that respect he's in good company. I also must give credit to the Cs for staying poised in crunch time, because that's something they've really struggled with. And I tip my hat to Brogdon and Smart for some much-needed good shooting and solid overall play.

But let's not get too high just yet. They won, and that's great, but they had more than their fair share of bad play in this one, particularly the 17 turnovers, and they haven't done a good job of defending their home court this postseason. It's one game for all the marbles, and anything can happen, so let's just hope they bring the focus and energy from the start in Game 7.
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

Boy those 50’s were a mess. People were comming down on this team like there is no tomorrow.
I hope we stick to Rob in the starting unit cause that should be our identity. Tatum was trully horrible until the last 5 minutes, he would get crusifived if we had lost the game.

On thing tho…. Marvus Smart…

If GS wins they play Lakers on ABC at 3:30 and Celts play the late game on TNT. If Lakers win Celts game at 3.30 on ABC. Per Sean Grande.
