“It’s a long game,” Tatum said. “Shots eventually going to fall and we got some of them to go down. Just didn’t necessarily start in the first quarter how I would have liked. But we’ve just got to keep playing, and that’s why it’s four quarters and it’s a long game.”

Yea thanks for the analysis. The Sixers were ready in the first quarter why weren't you or the rest of the team? You've been in games like this before and they should have taught you something but nope you haven't learned anything.

based on this incoherent quote, i’m not sure mr. tatum realizes they lost the game. these guys are lost.

Is this like part of the generation Z mindset? My gawd, their thinking logic is just mind-boggling.

Reminscent of Draymond mocking our Finals win where White got crazy hot, saying it won't happen again...

Not watching the game but I hope the crowd boos this team in all likelihood for the last time at home this season.

The crowd was amazingly positive given the circumstances.  They were going completely bananas after the Celts forced a 24 second
violation and one other point where we made a stop and had a chance to cut it to maybe 11.  Turnover on our end.  Maxey with one of the “shush” shots in recent memory.

Sixers were the more focused and better team.
Yup

Sixers have just played harder and smarter.

Celtics lost the game early on specifically when Al started launching 3 after 3

Bucks lost first round, a ton of injuries piled up for other teams (including Embiid for one game), and the C's simply aren't taking advantage.

Idk, we can certainly blame coaching but this is also mostly the same group of core players who have continually choked over the past 5+ years as well with other coaches. At some point, guys got to execute but also make shots + make plays on the court.

It might sound drastic, but if they get bounced this round then I don't see how you can just keep going with the same roster. Keep the Jays (unless Jaylen wants out which changes the calculus), but a lot of the others should be expendable, especially Smart. Smart should not be untouchable in any trade talks

Keep: Tatum, Brown, Hauser, Rob, Gallo, Brogdan and White

Jettison: Kornet, Blake

Probably gone: Grant, PP

Explore trading: Smart, Al and JB (if they get the sense he is not going to resign)

Fire: Joe and this entire staff. They are not good enough and another year of underachieving is not the way to go.

I don't think JT should be any safer than JB at this point if we're talking about trades.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

Does Giannis or Luka or Kawhi wanna come over? Or even Damian Lillard or Klay Thompson?

No, I would play it back with the same nucleus.

Change the coach, keep the roster.

This - our roster is constructed to win now, even though our need for a reliable big can easily be debated.. At the end of the day that with the right coach this team can win.
I would love to see Stevens take one shot on the bench with this roster.. and if not he then Nick Nurse is my top choice.

Man, Damian Lillard would have been nice yesterday. That guy is a competitor. He would have given Tatum some real help.

Tatum & Lillard together would be an awesome combo.
