If only we got Thomas Bryant or Rui Hachimura or Kevin Durant or even Jarred Vanderbilt man. If only.

We end up with Mike Muscala and washed-up Blake Griffin? Is that the best you can do man?

Don’t think this team likes one another. Think they are upset that Ime was fired. Don’t respect Joe.

I think this team might have a Marcus Smart problem.

White and Brogdon are better, but also Smart seems to act like he’s the 3rd best guy on the team. The 3rd piece of the “Big 3” with Tatum and Brown, hence he often plays more minutes and in crunch time over the other two (White and Brogdon).

And make no mistake, but he’s regressed big time for his DPOY caliber play last season. He’s making more loser plays and decisions than winning nowadays

I frankly thought Brogdan was terrible tonight.

i think you might be on to something here. it doesn’t seem the J’s have ever really liked playing together, and i don’t think many of the players respect the J’s as leaders or team players. marcus has spoken up about the J’s previously (as have other former players) but was clearly told to shut up by the organization.

the lack of public support for joe from the players, considering the heat he’s taken, has been telling. they might like joe personally but they respected ime.

That’s on the idiot coach to make that adjustment.

There are moments when I agree with this take, but then there are nights like tonight when Brogdon can't stay in front of Maxey or Harden and Derrick White forgets how to shoot and you know at least Marcus is going to give you some hustle. And he was at least aggressive at getting to the free throw line (he was a quiet 8/10 from the line)

This was Brogdon’s worse game as a Celtic and White has been awful all series. That being said all year they both have been better than Smart.

100% especially since it’s a strong possibility Brown leaves anyway.

Jimmy Butler is a warrior. He will go to battle for you. JT and JB are tin men who fold like a cheap suit when the pressure is on.

Yup, I'd do that trade 11 out of 10 times. Some Celtics fans will bring out the pitchforks because JB is years younger than KD.

But KD has that killer mentality in the postseason. Has that experience and knows what it takes to win. You got your tandem next to you in Tatum. Depth with Brogdon, White, Timelord, Horford.

Every time I see JB at the line, he misses. And, he succumbs to the pressure. Saw that block by Embiid? My goodness. The point is...I want to win NOW. Not win in 5 or 10 years. There's no guarantee of JB or JT or any of these guys staying forever. We are 15 years into the drought. This is unfathomable. You see that team in LA? Mortgaged their future twice and they already won one three years ago and they are on the verge to another Finals appearance. SIGH

I said this in another thread but it bears repeating: in his 6th year in league, Jimmy hadn't had the success Jayson has and he was 3 years older. You know what he was doing in the playoffs that year? Losing 4 straight to the Boston Celtics after his team had a 2 game lead and stole home court advantage. And then he turned around and asked for a trade.

Stop comparing JT (and even JB) to players with twice as much time in the league. Experience is the most important teacher.

agreed, young tatum with older durant. fine WIN NOW! we have developed brown, tatuma nd smart for years now. it is time to win a title. enough developing and rebuilding.  strike now while iron is hot. yup. we have been making ECFs for years now, finally made finals. we need to find a way to win it all now.
