Jimmy Butler is a warrior. He will go to battle for you. JT and JB are tin men who fold like a cheap suit when the pressure is on.

I said this in another thread but it bears repeating: in his 6th year in league, Jimmy hadn't had the success Jayson has and he was 3 years older. You know what he was doing in the playoffs that year? Losing 4 straight to the Boston Celtics after his team had a 2 game lead and stole home court advantage. And then he turned around and asked for a trade.

Stop comparing JT (and even JB) to players with twice as much time in the league. Experience is the most important teacher.

Please. JT and JB have lost 2 out 3 ECF together and 1 Finals series so far in their illustrious career and are on the precipice of losing to an inferior Sixers team. If experience is the most important teacher, they have had more than enough playoff experience and have learned NOTHING!

Yep, we're passed the "they're young and learning" excuse.

They're good players but their ceiling isn't as high as we all thought.

And what has Jimmy accomplished in a career twice as long? *whispers* one finals series in his illustrious career

He's a warrior, sure. But has it translated into more success? Nah...

Have you ever heard Jimmy admit to taking a playoff game off or suspected he did?

I know the Jimmy is a god narrative is strong right now and I like Jimmy, but can we stop acting like he isn't had playoff clunkers? Including a 6 point game in a loss against us in the ECF just last year.

No player is perfect this fanbase just loves hyping up other players while trashing their own. Like last series. There were so many comments about how people gained respect for Trae Young after we eliminated them. Dude, he went 0/12 in the 2nd half of an elimination game.

Imagine if one of the Jay's pulls that on Thursday.

Well, on the bright side, there is only one other active coach in playoffs now that could blow a 3-2 lead going back home for clincher. We will know pretty quickly . If we fall behind big early, we will quit like tonight.

“We’ve been in this position before, and we’re a confident group because we’ve done it,” Tatum said. “We know what it takes and we should be confident, right? Everybody believes in themselves, believes in the work they’ve put in so it’s nothing impossible, it’s just one game. Just take it one game at a time and be ready on Thursday.”

For sure you've been in this position many times before and you've blown it many times before. You don't know what it takes and the team certainly wasn't confident tonight. If they were, the team would have played much better and won. It's just one game. Yep, just one game. Game 5 is one of the most important games of any series. And it was at home no less. And the Celtics played a listless game. Now you have to win 2 in a row. Be ready for Thursday? You should have been ready tonight and you blew it.

“It’s a long game,” Tatum said. “Shots eventually going to fall and we got some of them to go down. Just didn’t necessarily start in the first quarter how I would have liked. But we’ve just got to keep playing, and that’s why it’s four quarters and it’s a long game.”

Yea thanks for the analysis. The Sixers were ready in the first quarter why weren't you or the rest of the team? You've been in games like this before and they should have taught you something but nope you haven't learned anything.

I wonder if they realize that if they lose on Thursday, "it's just one game" will not really be a valid mantra anymore.
