As this is more or less the de facto Celtics Coaching thread... Someone sent me this, which is floating around on Twitter. How do we feel about Vogel & Silas as assistants?

C's details are essentiall two paragraphs:
Quote
Keep an eye on Celtics assistant coaches Aaron Miles and Ben Sullivan and Nets assistant coach Royal Ivey to be courted by the Rockets as candidates for Udoka’s staff, league sources told HoopsHype.

Quote
The Celtics are also a team to monitor for [Frank] Vogel, along with former Rockets coach Stephen Silas, who’s also drawn interest from several NBA teams.

I'm not looking forward to further brain drain from the bench.  It's on Joe and Brad to make sure some good talent is added to the staff.  (I assume that, as much as I might prefer the best possible coach, Celtics management disagrees and Joe won't be fired.)

A quote I fully get behind from Joe:

Jay King: Joe Mazzulla on Heat culture: “I mean everybody has a culture. I think we have ours as well. Both teams have shown that they’re able to get through good times and bad. And that says a lot about the players in the organization, more than anything.” 43 mins ago – via Twitter ByJayKing

I appreciate him not giving into the media narrative of the Heat being particularly special somehow, while also defending the Celtics.

Call me crazy but I think White gets the start again and TL goes back to the bench. Miami plays strong perimeter defense and we need ball handlers and shooting to release the pressure of Miami going zone or overloading

Would be very into Vogel as an assistant. He knows the ropes of the senior coaching world, has championship experience, is aware of how to manage superstar players. He'd be a great presence. Silas I don't mind, he has over 20 years of NBA coaching experience.

Losing Sullivan will be annoying. Yet another good member of Ime's staff to leave.

I am so glad he said this. The drooling over the mystique of "Heat culture" (cheating but masking it with playing hard?) is so tiresome. Praying for a sweet sweep

a sweep would be so cathartic and healing for all of us for many reasons and what a shot of confidence moving into the finals.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

Mazzulla lets Miami basically go on a massive 43-20 run in the 3rd, just one timeout that whole quarter

C's start the 4th on a 7-0 run, Spo calls timeout, and the Heat go back up 9.

Coaching matchup is gonna be a huge mismatch this series sadly

The chair wouldn't play Pritchard.

And look at that! Boston scores 4 straight quickly to cut it to 5, and another Spoelstra timeout

How will Miami players learn resiliency and how to switch momentum on their own?!

The lineup decisions in this game were baffling.  I can't recall the last time I've seen rotation decisions this bad.
