Going to be interesting to see what happens with Jokic. The letter of the law is clear in this instance if I remember right - any contact with a fan like this is a suspension, and Jokic clearly elbowed him, even if Ishbia embellished it. Just like contact with the ref, and just like the Murray situation in the previous series.

That said, I highly doubt they suspend him. There’s a difference between suspending Murray and suspending Jokic. I’m sure they’ll find some loophole to justify this differential treatment.

Not sure how I feel about it either. Would hate to see Jokic’s suspension affect this series, but also don’t want to see unequal application of the rules based on one’s star status.

You also can’t have owners baiting players into suspensions.  Ishbia did not comport himself well by refusing to return the ball to a player or official, nor pretending he was still a basketball player by flopping after the mild contact.
Yeah, and you can't have fans trying to impede players like that generally.

Jokic already gets a fine for the T.  I’d just fine Ishbia.

Coaches All-Time Playoff wins

1 - Phil Jackson - 229 wins
2 - Pat Riley - 171 wins
3 - Gregg Popovich - 169 wins
4 - Doc Rivers - 109 wins
5 - Erik Spoelstra - 101 wins
6 - Larry Brown - 100 wins
7 - Red Auerbach - 99 wins
8 tie - Jerry Sloan - 98 wins
8 tie - Steve Kerr - 98 wins
10 - KC Jones - 81 wins

Pretty remarkable achievement for such a young coach to already make the top 5 all-time in playoff wins. Well done Spoelstra.

Just because he dyes his hair doesn’t mean he’s young at 52.  For perspective, Red retired from coaching at 49.

I’d say the chart is sorta meaningful, sorta not.   Having MJ/Pippen and Shaq/Kobe gets me to a lot of playoff wins.  Not one of them didn’t coach an all-time top player  or 3.
I’m not positive at first blush I might put Larry Brown as among the most impressive on that list given his travels.  Spoelstra’s done a great job no matter who has been on his roster but got quite a kickstart.

So what do these recent Suns playoffs wins without Chris Paul say about his future in Phoenix? He's making 30 million a year the next 2 years. That could get you a whole lot of help for Booker, KD and Ayton.

I won’t watch but hoping with all I got that I wake up to a GSW win.  I fear LAL goes up 3-1. Probably over if so.

A fair chunk of that money is non-guaranteed too if I remember right.

Update: No money guaranteed in 4th year. So only 1 year on the books and I believe only half of next season (3rd year) is guaranteed so only $15mil guaranteed out of the $60mil owed.

It's crazy. Miami had a tough season, lost the first-play in game at home and nearly lost to the Bulls the following game. And yet it looks like they are about to make the ECF no problem including the big series win over MIL in just 5. I respect that. Butler is a beast and that team is very well-coached. Even without Herro and Oladipo, getting it done.

Hate to say, but IF we advance from our current series, I'm not even fully convinced we beat MIA in a series. Miami is not a team we can afford to sleepwalk against for 1-2 games. We did last season and barely made the Finals, but only barely. Not far off from losing in 7

I do not know how well Brunson's dribble heavy offensive game works next to other stars. He really dominates the ball. And he is not efficient to justify it. Not on a top team with other legit offensive options around him.

They def have my respect this season, esp Butler and Spoelstra.
