I think this series is going 7 games. Miami beating up NY right now.

To think Jimmy Butler was on the sixers and they got rid of him...thank God.

I don’t like tons of touch fouls being called but this is crazy in other direction. Everyone is getting mugged on both ends of the floor leading to an extra ugly game.

The Knicks so far have been thoroughly unimpressive

Their lone win was a nail biter at home against Miami WITHOUT Butler too.

Hard to win when RJ Barrett goes 5-16 FGA and Randle 4-13 FGA combin for 23pts on 29 FGA 6 FTs 5 TOs.

Brunson not much better after a cold 2nd half.

NY do not have enough outside shooting. Only 8-34 3PT today for 23.5%. Shot only 28% from three in the first round.

Randle and Barrett both streaky shooters. J Hart has shot well since going to NY but historically he has been a poor outside shooter is likely coming back down to Earth. Brunson is good when he gets his feet set but is more of a low volume shooter. M Robinson can't make a shot outside the paint.

NY is going to have to make some roster changes if they are to have any hopes of making a real playoff run in the future. They did well this year. They got a good matchup with CLE for them. They won a round. That by itself may prove hard to replace nevermind going a step further and making a long playoff run.

Heck, they even got lucky in the 2nd round matchup as well with a dodgy Miami team suffering from injuries, bad roster construction, lack of quality depth.

NY should not view this success as grounds for future expectations. This is like when the Blazers made the WCF a few years ago but never sniffed anything close to that again.

NY gotta make changes if they want to be anything more than first round fodder in the future.

Still a long way to go in each of the two series, but right now it's looking like we can see an ECF rematch from last season. Miami vs. Boston.

And dare I say, if BOS makes it, a potential Finals rematch (Golden State vs. Boston)?

Feels like it's trending that way, but again, a lot can change in the coming days (and weeks)

Denver is coming out of the West.  It’s a virtual lock.

I was wondering how DEN did against GSW in the regular season because I would have thought that was a difficult matchup for them given how well GSW can stretch the floor and make life difficult for Jokic to cover shooters.

So they played each other 3 times. Denver won all 3 games. 1 game was a blowout. The other 2 games were nailbiters. A 2pt win and a 5pt win. So that 3-0 season sweep probably hides how close a matchup this was when you see how tight those two games were.

Cavaliers laid a huge dud in the first round. If it weren't for the Bucks, everyone would be talking about the Cavaliers more. They looked extremely mediocre and only Mitchell seemed to show up for them. Was a fairly easy series for the Knicks. Cavs didn't offer much resistance

I’m quite wary of the Heat. We split our four meetings this season, with them winning the last two. I know we’ve had problems with NY as well but I’d rather face them in the next round, assuming we do advance.

Well to be fair I think we played them twice with like half our team missing lol. And we still nearly won one of them. But yeah, you don't have to convince me. Either one will be a tricky matchup. Butler is a beast in the playoffs, and Bam gives us trouble regardless. Even without Herro, they have shooters that can get hot and you can't underestimate Spo

Good game so far. GSW on an 18-4 run

I will say, I don't think it's controversial to say Lebron just isn't a good defender anymore. And I understand it given his age, but Poole and their smaller guys are practically running by him for easy buckets in the paint, and LBJ isn't even trying. Sure, Lebron can turn it up in the final moments of games, but otherwise he doesn't help them on that end at all. It's a lot of pressure on AD and the others against GSW's shooters. Klay is torching them right now, and Curry feels like he'll go on a run soon
