Jaylen Brown has recently stated that he won't be leaving Kanye West's agency Donda Sports, despite West’s recent antisemitic remarks.

"First, I don't condone any hurt, harm, or danger toward any group of people or individuals whatsoever. I've been a member of my community, trying to uplift my community, and I'm going to continue to do that."

"A lot of time goes into creating an entity or organization," he said. "The reason why I signed with Donda Sports, it represented education, it represented activism, disruption, it represented single-parent households, and a lot more people are involved in something like that. A lot of people that I work with, work with their families, build love and respect for, spending time in the summer. A lot of people involved."

With the caveat that I don’t know what his contract says, I’m not okay with it.  It just props up bigotry.

Apparently represents many people, except Jewish ones.
I’m really disappointed that he is staying with them after the number of anti Semitic posts West has made. I’m truly surprised as I’ve always thought of Brown as someone who cared about all people.
I can’t help but wonder if West was Jewish and made hateful comments about African Americans, if he would still stay there?

it's not good optics for Jaylen regardless of what that entity stands for.  if it cuts ties with Kanye, then I understand Jaylen staying with it but if Kanye becomes the face of it to a greater extent then Jaylen's got to cut ties for his own sake.

Love JB, but the optics are not good at all with this move. I can understand why people are ticked at him.

As a white person, I feel that Kanye is divisive, wrong, and dangerous. He deserved a beat down after the white lives matter stunt.

I’m not sure that all black people feel this way. Clearly Jaylen doesn’t. It definitely makes me judge Brown differently.

Sports brand Adidas has terminated its partnership with Kanye West over his antisemitic comments in a move it estimates will impact its bottom line by up to €250 million ($246 million) this year alone, the company said Tuesday.

In a statement, the sneaker brand, referring to West by his “Ye” pseudonym, said: “Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech. Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.”

I might buy myself a pair of adidas shoes today.

A few years ago Jaylen was probably my favorite player.  Unfortunately I've reached the point with him where I just root for the laundry now.

Adidas cut ties with Kanye so quickly because their founder ‘Adi’ Adolf Dassler was a former member of the Nazi party.

That €250 million loss is a drop in the ocean if Adidas was known as a Nazi brand again.

I don’t understand why Kanye is given a platform by Fox News.

Love Kanye West. Not the music, just the person.
Didn't know Brown had connections with West.
Means there's hope for Jaylen.

They didn't cut ties with Kanye quickly though.  They dragged their heels, and got a LOT of blowback from the public for every day that went by when they did nothing.
