Meanwhile, in terrible injury news, Lonzo Ball looks headed for another knee surgery with a 6-month recovery time.  He was initially diagnosed with a similar meniscus injury that Rob had.  Rob’s recovery has been uneven, but it could have been worse, to say the least.

BRUH Durant slipped during pregame warmups on the court and he’s out tonight with a left ankle injury. Hope it’s not serious but yikes

I saw a report that he's in a walking boot and could be out the rest of the regular season.  Wild.

That’d be crazy.  It didn’t look that serious of a slip and he finished his warm-ups after it.  He also didn’t have an MRI last night, and it’s 7am, so I doubt he’s had one this morning.  This feels a little like Twitter speculation getting ahead of itself, but I guess we’ll see.

Yeah, people on twitter are speculating that it’s a grade 2 ankle sprain. I don’t think he would have finished warmups if it was that serious. Doesn’t make sense.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

For whatever it's worth, there's actual reporting around this, rather than random Twitter accounts:

The Arizona Republic has learned that there is concern within the organization that Durant has a grade 2 sprain, which would keep him out for between four and six weeks.

Phoenix’s regular season finale is April 9, meaning it’s possible Durant could miss the remainder of the regular season and potentially the start of the playoffs.

Or maybe, hopefully, they get it fixed this time and he can be ready for the start of next season.

The fines from that interview are gonna be epic, but totally worth it. Good for him!

I wish he used Lebron’s tantrum during the Celtics game as an example of how unbalanced the technical fouls are - how some players get away with more leeway.

KD may be out for the rest of the season. Wow, a dent to Phoenix's playoff race, and a more wide-open West.

Maybe chance for Bron to score another chip

The Kemp news is sad.  Definitely one of my favorites as an early to mid teen.  His Sonics jersey was actually the first jersey I ever got.

Update:

Quote
According to Fox 13, people close to Kemp claim that his iPhone was stolen on Tuesday, the day before the shooting. The next day, he tracked the stolen mobile device to Tacoma and approached the vehicle where the alleged stolen property was. When Kemp approached the vehicle, a suspect shot at him, and Kemp allegedly returned fire in self-defense.

Giannis out tonight again

Bucks are doing what the C’s should have been doing. Managing Tatum’s minutes and resting him more to keep him as fresh as possible for the playoffs

It's probably very unlikely anyways.

But IF Boston still has dreams of grabbing the 1 seed, they HAVE to enter the March 30 game against MIL just 1 game behind MIL. I did the math, and by the time both teams play they'll have played the same number of games.

The winner of the March 30 game also owns the tiebreaker so it's a two-game swing either way. If MIL wins, they pretty much are guaranteed the 1 seed. If Boston wins, they control their destiny for the 1 seed with a pretty easy schedule to end (only tough game being Philly).

That's going to be the goal. MIL does have a tough 3-game road trip coming up (@GSW, @SAC, @PHO). Boston has 3 easy games coming up. If BOS goes 3-0 and maybe MIL drops 2 of the next 3, Boston is back in the mix. Hope that happens.

I've kind of accepted we're likely going to be the 2 seed but if there's a chance to climb back into the mix for the 1 seed, next week is it.
