WOW! Sacramento is now the 2 seed in the West. Good for them. I am rooting for them to make a run. Also, their first home playoff game is going to be absolutely electric (and very loud)  ;D

I think they made a nice move to get Sabonis.  Haliburton was/is good but Sabonis really rounded out their team.  I have a hard time with them though.  Their first round could be LAL (with LeBron and Davis) or MIN (with Towns).  Those would be tough outs for them.  Or if they drop back down to the 3 seed or below, they could get DAL or GSW.

Their point differential is +2.7/gm, pretty low for a top team.  Worse than the Knicks for example (they are +2.9).  They have a good young core right now though, with some ceiling still.  Harrison Barnes is a UFA after this season.  Interesting to see if he sticks around.

And another thing about SAC, their starting 5 has played together in 50 games for a total of 732 minutes, most in the league, for a net +55.  That kind of continuity really helps a team win games.

They’re an excellent offensive team that is fun to watch, at least in the regular season. But they don’t really play a lick of defense.

I think when the game slows down and defenses play harder in the playoffs, they’re going to be exposed.

EDIT: Just checked and they’re 25th in defensive rating  :o That won’t get it done in the playoffs.

Too bad we have little idea what that's like! :P

Didn't confirm, but heard on the radio that the worst road record of a NBA champion (at least recently) was 21-20.  So the Warriors with their 7 wins, are basically eliminated if history is to be believed.

Cowherd today was talking about the Warriors and he theorized that they are so bad on the road in part because of the rift caused by Draymond when he hit Poole in the off season.  Basically said, when you are at home you don't do everything together, but when you are on the road, you ride the plane, bus, stay at the same place, and basically do everything together so when there is a rift it just affects everyone.  Couple that with the best homecourt, young guys who want their time, and veterans that want to keep their time, and the Warriors are just a mess on the road.  If that is even partially true, Curry coming back isn't going to fix that.

BRUH Durant slipped during pregame warmups on the court and he’s out tonight with a left ankle injury. Hope it’s not serious but yikes

Crazy.

Aaron Levine: BREAKING: Former Sonic star Shawn Kemp has been booked into Pierce County Jail. He is currently being held on a charge of “Drive By Shooting.” He was booked at 5:58pm this afternoon. We are following this story on @Fox13Seattle . This is connected to an attempted shooting at Tacoma Mall just before 2pm. Shots were fired from a passing vehicle aiming at someone in the parking lot, on NE side of mall near the “Courtesy Tire” store. According to police, “no one was hit in the shooting.” – via Twitter

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

How do you go from NBA star to this?  It’s sad.  I loved Kemp.

I saw a report that he's in a walking boot and could be out the rest of the regular season.  Wild.

Cavs right on the Sixers butt for the three seed. Celtics need to solidify the 2 seed this road trip.

Cavs are 4 games back of the Sixers in the loss column.

The Kemp news is sad.  Definitely one of my favorites as an early to mid teen.  His Sonics jersey was actually the first jersey I ever got.

That’d be crazy.  It didn’t look that serious of a slip and he finished his warm-ups after it.  He also didn’t have an MRI last night, and it’s 7am, so I doubt he’s had one this morning.  This feels a little like Twitter speculation getting ahead of itself, but I guess we’ll see.
