Looking around the league, I can't help but think that if Timelord comes back, stays healthy and is the player he was last year, that the Celtics are the best team in the league.

They're 7-3 after a really tough first 10 games of the schedule. Some of the other high performing teams in the league haven't had nearly as tough a schedule as Boston. That bodes well, IMHO.

Particularly the Bucks. Between 7 (!) of their first 10 games at home and the quality of their opponents thus far (them being objectively bad, underperforming, or stars out with injury) they’ve had by far the easiest schedule in the league.

The Bucks have wins @PHI and @MIN, and then lost to ATL on the road. So 2-1 on the road   This without Middleton.  The additional road games will pull their record down some as they go but I think MIL is totally legit.  They are a good team and will only be better when they get Middleton back.

The Celtics have lost @CHI (in ugly fashion) and @CLE.  Two really good teams.  The Celtics schedule has been tougher.  We are right there with the Bucks or anyone.  But the Bucks are really good too.

I more meant the general NBA media landscape. They seemed to be crushing on Lue big time last season, but now they're underachieving quite significantly.

I don't know about their FO. Not sure how they operate. Will probably try to keep the two stars happy.

They are 6-5 which is the 7th seed, they've won 4 of the last 5, and Kawhi has played a whopping 42 minutes all season.  They have basically 2 PG's (Jackson, Wall), 1 center (Zubac), and like 500 wings.  Now I get the schedule has been a bit weak, but I'd say Lue has actually done a pretty solid job on the year.  It is hard to prepare a season like Kawhi is going to be available, only to watch him be unavailable.

Still 70+ games to go of course but I'm surprised to see BKN, MIA and PHI all basically 5-6 or 4-7 and below the 10 seed currently.

I think Cleveland is sneaky legit though. Feels like the Top-3 in some order will be MIL, CLE, BOS. After that, the next 4-5 teams to me are pretty meh and I expect the "law of averages" to factor in, but it also depends if those teams I mention actually figure it out soon or not (PHI, BKN, MIA). Won't be easy for PHI who are still missing Harden for another 3+ weeks and the Nets are a mess anyways
